About the Business
Porthouse Theatre, located at 3143 O'Neil Road in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, has been entertaining audiences and providing training opportunities for aspiring theatre artists since 1968. With a 500-seat covered outdoor theatre, over 20,000 guests enjoy the Porthouse experience each summer, picnicking before enjoying professional productions.
In the summer of 2024, Porthouse Theatre will present a new season and is holding in-person auditions from January 25-27, 2024. Join the Porthouse Theatre company and be a part of the magic behind the scenes. Positions are available in company management, stage management, costumes, scenic construction, lighting, sound, box office, and facilities. Spend your summer at Porthouse and be a part of this exciting theatrical community.

"I've watched two musicals here this summer. I love this outdoor, covered theater venue! The seating wraps around the front and sides of the stage. We've sat on each of the sides and the view was still great. Picnic area on the theater grounds. Very affordable concessions with a handful of options (candy, chips, ice cream bars, sodas). Clean, indoor restroom facilities. Onsite box office. Show tickets reasonably priced. Productions very professional (cast, crew, set, etc.). Very welcoming, friendly theater community. We found out about this theater through our visits to Kent State which is high on our high school senior's list of colleges he's considering to pursue musical theatre."
"Great shows on a summer's evening. Saw closing night of the '23 season: "The Prom". Wonderful Broadway musical song/dance play of timely social issue: gay youth. Perfectly acted, sung, and danced!"
