Hampton Inn Cleveland-Downtown 1460 East 9th Street, Cleveland, OH 44114

"I had a terrible experience with the receptionist in this hotel. Her name is Marcy and she was so disrespectful and became enraged to me. She was even pointing her finger at me while she's talking loud and angry where in I was so cool talking to her at first and asking a question decently regarding my reservation. Here's what happened, my wife did the checking inn while I was waiting in the car to avoid getting parking ticket since it's downtown area. When she came back the charge was more than what was on our reservation so I went in and ask Marcy why. I understand there's a policy not to give information to anybody else for security since I wasn't there during check inn. So I went back to the car, quickly grab my wife and ask my wife politely to tell her to give me permission to give the information I need. After this, in the blink of an eye she exploded and started shouting at me about company policy, blah blah blah. I was NOT even increasing my voice tone while I was asking her. Marcy's temper suddenly changed from 0 to level 9999. I was clueless on what happened there. Anyway it happened already, the damaged to the hotels reputation has been tarnished. That was not a pleasing experience we had with Marcy."

"Our room only had one working light. The outlet did not work. The hot water came out of the sink brown. There was no conditioner provided."

"I want to give feedback about our recent stay. I'm little irritated with the Hampton Inn, the valet stole our pickled peanuts from our car and they were sitting on the valet stand this morning. I didn't think anything of it until I was about halfway home when I went to reach for them. I found it interesting that they were on the valet stand as they are a rare brand and flavor that are hard to find. So when I saw them on the stand it stuck in my mind. Then wanting some on my way home went to reach for them and they were gone. For $42 a day I expect a better service from the Hampton Inn then theft. You need to have reliable people working for you that don't steal peoples stuff if they stole nuts from my car what else are they stealing from other peoples cars? Not to mention the overall cost of the room on top of the parking fee. Also, I booked a one bedroom, king size room, and was given two queen beds. The bathroom was dirty. There was hair on the toilet and the countertop in the bathroom. This is not what I expect from the Hampton Inn brand, which we have stayed at multiple times in many cities. I know things get overlooked so I cleaned the bathroom hair myself. Was willing to let the booking and the hair go until I found that my nuts were stolen. That means they went through my car and were looking for things in it, I am glad I did not have anything more valuable in it then nuts. When going out of town we usually look at the Hampton inn first but it will be hard to trust your brand especially when there are so many other hotels to choose from. I will be writing a review.
