"Apparently this title company doesn't always take signed documents to the county auditor's office for processing/posting the transfer. When these documents are mailed, the timeline for the transaction actually posting is much longer (and unpredictable). I did not learn any of this from the title company itself, despite my email inquiry into why my transaction hadn't yet posted. I had to call the county auditor's office to get this explanation. The transfer and recording department told me mailed documents are the most typical cause of delays. Be aware if you are using this company that you need to clarify how they plan to forward the transfer documents for posting and request the level of service you want/need."
