"We had a horrible experience with Dr. Bestic for our Chihuahua, Madison. She was experiencing back pain and lameness in her left leg. I explained to Dr. Bestic that she had had knee surgery recently in both her hind legs. Dr. Bestic examined Madison and concluded her left leg lameness was being caused by the issue in her back. He recommended x-rays ($400) and when the x-rays showed nothing, further recommended we take Madison to a neurologist for an MRI ($4,000) at Med Vet in Akron. The MRI showed no reason Madison's back would be causing her left leg lameness so recommended I see an orthopedic surgeon. Upon examining Madison (she was fully awake), the specialist said he could tell by feeling her left leg that the artificial ligament in Madison's left leg had failed and needed to be replaced through another knee surgery ($5,000). Dr Bestic holds himself out to be an orthopedic specialist but in Madison's case, he cost Madison months of unnecessary pain and us $5,000 in unnecessary vet bills. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone."
