"Xiaofei Shangguan and her husband run this place and it is incredible! I just finished law school and all the long hours sitting and reading and studying had taken a toll on my back. I realized my insurance covered acupuncture and thought that if it it would help then it would be worth the try because my back pain was making it hard to sleep, sit, and even just concentrate on whatever I had been studying. The first session I was very nervous. I am afraid of needles but my boyfriend also made an appointment and we were in the same room which was comforting! SHE WAS SO QUICK AND GENTLE. Xiaofei repeatedly asks to make sure you are comfortable and feeling fine and then leaves a call button as you relax and let the relief set in. Immediately my back pain dissipated. I could not believe it. Additionally, I have IBS and tense muscles from anxiety/stress. My IBS was noticeably improved literally hours after the appointment. Y’all, I have had IBS since high school and had simply resigned to the fact it was something you just deal with because nothing really helps. ACUPUNCTURE DID and I am so mad none of my doctors in the past had recommended acupuncture to treat it prior. We are still working on the stress and anxiety- I have felt it ease up but I know that it is very severe so it will take awhile but I’m already seeing signs of improvement! "I came to Dr. Yang after having my wisdom teeth removed because one side of my mouth got infected. The swelling was immense and the pain from the pressure was so unbearable I could hardly sleep, even on prescription pain killers. It wasn’t until I visited Dr. Yang for a couple acupuncture treatments that the infectious fluid started to drain and the swelling finally subsided.
