"Today I received a notice from HHC that they are terminating our relationship and I am to find new care. Why? I questioned the receptionist (not a nurse or doctor) about the need for another Dutch Test. I've been with HHC for about 9 years and do have an annual call. My regular nurse practitioner has moved on and she always allowed me to go to my primary care physician to do an expanded blood lab which shows not just your hormones, but a lot of other things your GP likes. It is more efficient and LESS EXPENSIVE. I am post menopause. My hormones will never magically come back so the Dutch Test which is about $350 will not give any more insight than full blood work reviewed by a physician for about $400. I've done this for YEARS. Because HHC will not return my calls or emails I have to ASSUME this is why I'm fired leaving me without Hormone care until I can get into a new OBG that prescribes bio identical hormones. So I'll be waiting until July. Over our 9 year relationship I have encouraged so many women to go to this clinic and I'm really sorry about that now. Times have changed and you can easily find an OBGyn who will work with you rather than being forced to invest annually with a nurse practitioner, taking tests that just to make a buck and of course the upselling of all the vitamins. I'm sad Tammy left. She was amazing and really cared about her patients totally present and willing to also work with you financially. I hope this helps someone make a better choice. Thank you, Pamela Quinn FOLLOW UP TO THEIR REPLY: Before my Nurse, Tammy Blevins, left this practice HHC was more than happy to partner with my primary care physician and take into consideration I have an OBYGYN. Much of what they mention in their reply is care I receive elsewhere from Doctors and not Nurse Practitioners. Nothing they mention cannot be found by a blood draw taken by your Primary and Paid for by insurance. I've done this with HHC for YEARS. YEARS. Now that Tammy has left they are doubling down and it is all about the upsell. Not to mention you can go online now and order hormones with telehealth. Given your hormones are not going to magically come back and you do have a primary care and an OBYGYN, the Dutch Test is not the gold standard. AND they wouldn't return my emails, my calls and the scheduling system online was not working every time I logged on so this is the first I am actually having a conversation with them after 9 years of care."
