I listened to everything he said, and he had me back at 100% prior to running that race, and I have yet to have any more issues with my leg. I went to him with only 18 days before my race and told him he had to do some damage control so I could run this one healthy, and he did just that— I ran this one faster than the spring one. "Words cannot express how grateful I am for Matt Graessle. If you are having issues with TMJ and you feel hopeless, this is where you go to get hope and healing. My daughter has had issues with her jaw for the last 3 years. In 7th grade it locked completely shut for 2 days. At that time, we did physical therapy at another location and it became workable but it's still always bothered her. It took a long time to relax and we had to go to multiple therapy appointments for any kind of results. Her jaw locked at midnight on September the 6th (2.5 years after the first time it locked) and was locked until noon on September the 7th. We had gone through every intervention we knew and scoured the internet for help. I made an appointment an hour and a half away with a specialist, who wasn't available until November, and I felt a little desperate. Besides living with the discomfort and terror of not being able to open her mouth, she was living with the uncertainty of never knowing when it could lock shut again. She has a life she wants to live and she is in the middle of her high school volleyball season. She is having a good one. I did not want this setback to keep her from excelling. Yesterday we went to see Matt at Benchmark at the recommendation of our dentist. Matt was able to do some pressure point work with her and some stretching and her jaw went from opening 26 mm to 38mm just within in the time that we were there. Her jaw hurt while he was doing it and was sore for the rest of the evening, but she woke up this morning and has zero jaw pain at all and it's completely loose. We are thrilled! We will continue treatment because we are certain that Matt can continue helping her to get better range of motion now. We are so grateful. If I had known this were possible 3 years ago, I would not have let her suffer for so long! One other point, the receptionist was very up front with me about the cost of service. With our insurance, we do not get physical therapy paid for and they told us exactly what to expect. I really appreciate knowing what I'm signing up for. It makes it easier to budget and plan and knowing how honest and effective they are makes me trust them completely. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This is such a relief."
