"While I was here the staff were hit or miss. Some teachers cared while others were bothered. I withdrew to go elsewhere within the window to do so and they sent a bill for over $1k. I was fully funded through FASFA."

"As former alumni I want to give this place five stars, however it would appears if they have disabled their answering machines which has made it impossible to re-enroll when you work the night shift at your current job and your normal business hours are 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next day. The colleges online business hours are correct, but with no way to leave a message since I will be asleep or barely waking up during their normal office hours, it makes taking my education further through the organization difficult"

"This school changed my life. I transferred to Stark after having a horrible freshmen year at a 4 year college. I don't know why I transferred to Stark State. I never even visited it, I just didn't know what else to do. I transferred, worked part time and got my degree done in two years. Now I am working at a great job in my field that SSC helped me get and helped me prep my resume for. My professors bring out the best in me. But, you get out of an education what you put in. I put everything I had into this school and love the outcome. I could comment more, but I'm just going to keep it short. Very thankful to have gone to Stark State College"

"I attended Stark State College a number of years ago when it was Stark Technical College. I am surprised by the negative reviews, because I had a great experience at the school. I graduate with a degree in Computer Technology, and the courses were challenging and taught me a lot. I still remember some of the great instructors like Mrs. McBride in my math classes. I even worked there part-time for about a year doing LAN Administration. They have provided me with a foundation for a very successful career in IT. I later completed my Bachelor degree at Kent State. I am currently completing my MBA. I was able to get a copy of my transcripts, even after graduating 25 years ago, by faxing in a request. I did this for two different Universities, and they arrived within a week. In this age there should be a way to do it electronically like Kent State, but at least they do not charge you for them. Overall I had an excellent experience and they prepared me for a very rewarding career in Computer Technology. I absolutely have no regrets about this school, and I enjoyed my time there."
