"I brought my cat, Ellie, here very often and just never really felt heard or felt like Ellie’s health was in everyone’s best interests. The staff here is super nice but there are some things that make me feel uncomfortable with bringing Ellie back here again. Ellie is diabetic and I was advised to have a Libre device applied to her skin so I can monitor her blood sugar. I had a Libre applied at this location last summer with no issues at all.. but this time they used too much glue to apply it to her skin. It took me a long time to remove it and after removal, there’s a big patch of glue stuck to her bare skin. I was told they used “a small amount of glue”. Also, Ellie is known to be feisty at the vet so I give her 200mg of Gabapentin at night and 200mg a couple hours before her appointment. I asked them to trim her nails and paid the full amount for a pedicure. Later I found out that they only trimmed her back feet. I brought her back to have them redo it and they STILL didn’t cut every nail. I understand she can be spicy but all I ask for is honesty. They did ask me to check her nails before I left but she was already so angry, I checked a couple nails on one paw and said it was fine. When I was checking out I apologized for her behavior and was told “she wasn’t that bad”. But when I found her nails weren’t trimmed I received an email saying she wasn’t cooperating. So which one was it? I also have to keep repeating myself to each vet when I bring Ellie in. The same thing over and over.. I kept getting asked if she was on an inhaler. And each time I said no.. I was going to order one but her coughing fits decreased dramatically so I decided against it. Speaking of her asthma, they prescribed her a steroid KNOWING she is a diabetic cat in remission and the steroid pill can cause her diabetic symptoms to return which is exactly what happened. I was so excited when she went into remission to only go through this process all over again because of these steroids which did nothing for her. They charge you an arm and a leg for everything. I paid $40 to have the Libre applied on Ellie and they wanted to charge me another $56 to have a vet call me and discuss the results over the phone.. after asking on my Feline Diabetes Support Group about this cost a lot of people said their vet doesn’t charge for the results. They wanted to do a fructosamine test to find out if she’s diabetic even though I was already monitoring her blood glucose at home on a meter. Unfortunately I will have to find a new vet for Ellie, one that is more educated with feline diabetes and is an honest, dependable practice. EDIT: to the office’s response.. I was never informed that the steroid could cause her to fall out of remission. The only reason I found that out was after I did some research on the internet. Had I known it would do that, I would have never given her the steroid to begin with. I removed all scented items and invested in air purifiers which reduced her asthma attacks. The part that upset me was having to repeat myself with each vet, not the fact that that question was asked. I had mentioned that I was asked to do a fructosamine test to confirm that she was diabetic, not that I was getting that information from an online support group. I said I knew she was diabetic because I was testing her blood at home on a meter so it didn’t make sense to pay over a hundred dollars to confirm what I already knew. Also, with her prior nail trims I was TOLD when she was not cooperating and the nails were not trimmed properly or not trimmed at all. All I asked for was honesty. Each time I was told yes, they were trimmed when in reality some or all of them were missed. I really don’t appreciate this response and will not be returning to this office. I understand you advocate for the pets but so do I."

"Our dog Ryder was sick and we brought him to the closest vet we could find while visiting Columbus from out of town, which happened to be Liberty Pet Hospital. The staff there was truly amazing and cared for Ryder even though he was not a regular patient there. Dr. Miller was very attentive and made time to always make sure Ryder was okay and taken care of. We are very pleased with the level of care provided to Ryder on such short notice. Thank you Dr. Miller and everyone at Liberty Pet Hospital!"
