"The beef Birria taco was the best thing I've had in awhile! Not to mention the chorizo and charred corn queso was delicious. My husband and I both got mojitos too! We had a great experience!"

"I recently moved back to Ohio after being in San Diego for 22 years and I've been looking for a taco place that's comparable to San Diego and I finally found one at Hola Tacos! I've visited their Willoughby location but their location in Lakewood has a completely different vibe, which I liked much better than their Willoughby location. Sebastian greeted me when I entered, and he was also my server. He was attentive, gracious and not too pushy. This place is not as big as the Willoughby location but it's a great and unique neighborhood spot to enjoy some tacos and margarita..they sit right on the corner and have a great outdoor area to people watch. They have plenty of outdoor seating with heaters and only a few tables indoor so during winter this might be a better take out place. I can't wait for warmer weather to hang out on the patio. I normally don't like mango but I saw someone else order a mango margarita and it looked too good to pass up and was also their specialty. It was amazing and really refreshing. I think the best way to find out if a Mexican restaurant is good is to try their Salsa or beans. I ordered their Salsa con Tostadas, to try and instead of chips they give you homemade Tostadas you can break apart. Their salsa was everything I could hope for. It was definitely fresh had great tomato flavor with spices and a hint of lime. Although I would have liked it to be more spicy. They are know for theit Birria tacos so I couldn't leave without trying them. O-M-G! They were so amazing. The meat was so tender, and juicy. They bring them dripping in juice with melted cheese on a homemade corn tortilla sprinkled with cilantro and onions. The absolute best Birria tacos I've ever had!! Don't forget to ask for their hot sauce on the side. I highly recommend this place!!"

"At first glance, Hola Tacos might appear modest in size, but don't let its size deceive you — the flavors here are anything but small. The kitchen, which I’d affectionately term a 'taco hut', is packed with culinary magic. Each taco is a testament to the care and authenticity poured into the selection of ingredients, which are noticeably fresh, contributing to the vibrant flavors and textures that one would be hard-pressed to find just anywhere. The patio is a nice bonus — expansive and welcoming, it's an ideal spot for casual dining under the sky. However, it's worth noting that the winter can pose a challenge. My personal experience during the colder months was slightly less comfortable despite the provided heaters. The attempt to ward off the chill is there, but it's advisable to dress warmly or choose to visit when the weather is milder. Whether you're a taco aficionado or simply in search of a casual spot to enjoy good food and good company, this place is certainly worth the visit — preferably when the sun's warmth complements the warmth of the welcome you'll receive."

"First time here and my bf and my family were excited to try this place. We Love birria tacos and we’ve had them back in San Antonio, Texas (especially from those awesome food truck). Lemme just say we had high expectations and they were not met. I ordered birria tacos (beef) and the chicken birria tacos, and my bf ordered the Mexican ramen. We were highly disappointed. Although the food looked aesthetic the flavor profile was highly missed. The beef had NO flavor. Like just adding some salt would have made it taste better. The birria tacos are individually priced. It’s not an actual dish AND you have to purchase the consommé separately. It does not come with the birria tacos which ruins the authenticity of the birria taco dish. Like at that point don’t call it birria taco. The broth was oily. The ramen juice was oily and both were watery. There was little to no flavor. The lime slices tasted old. The birria tacos were dripping with oil. We were so disappointed. Overly priced for what we ate and not worth it either. If you want some authentic Mexican food, or just authentic birria tacos just make them yourself or make the drive to Vegan Soul in Sandusky. Definitely worth it. You get 3 Tacos plus the consommé plus Mexican corn for just $13 and the Flavor Profile is out of this world."

"We visited Hola Tacos for the first time tonight and it was a great experience. Besides delicious food and a fun atmosphere, the service was fantastic. Our server Liam was very friendly, fast and professional. We had worse experiences in high end restaurants when it comes to service! We had several appetizers and tacos and everything was delicious. Check it out the next time you’re in Lakewood."
