"Went to brunch with a friend. Great food and service but it was sooo loud that we could hardly hear each other speak. It was the Ohio Michigan game starting so maybe its not so loud normally"

"We just tried to eat here this afternoon. We walked in and waited to be seated but no one helped us and there were no signs instructing us to wait or seat ourselves. After waiting for a moment, a group walked in after us and seated themselves at a dirty table. We decided to do the same and even asked a sever if we could just seat ourselves and they said yes. Then after we sat down a different servers told us that our dirty table was being waited on by people at the bar. With no other table left and the server didn't let us know how to wait for a table we just decide to leave. I would strongly recommond a hostess or at least a sign asking folks to wait. We had a group that just because they seated themselves first didn't have to leave but apparently you aren't suppose to do that? idk y'all need some order here. The place just felt like chaos."

"Extremely mid dive bar reserved for the West Lakewood barflies and townies. On first pass, its location seems to lend itself to some jumping weekend nights. But enter inside and it is usually a sausagefest. Service is slow and somehow has gotten even worse over the years. They seem to have hired increasingly stuck-up bartenders. On the positive side, they do have one of the more underrated brunches on the west side. Brunch boosts it to a 3 star for me. But as a hangout spot I'd rate it a 1.5, service being the major downgrade."

"The server ,Patrick (I believe)was great. He actually made me give 5stars as well as our group of 6 trip worth it. Food needed some help. Most of us ordered some type of eggs Benedict and all but one of us had egg yolks the consistency of hard boiled. But again service was top notch and will be the reason we come back."

"Meals were supposed to come with fries. The fries were missing. Grouper sandwich tasted like it was seasoned in a pound of salt. Chicken sandwich was tough and tasteless. Needless to say our dog ended up with the meals because they were so bad. Glad there are so many options in Lakewood to eat at other than Westend Tavern."
