About the Business

The Red Rose Cafe

The Red Rose Cafe is a popular bar and restaurant located at 14810 Madison Avenue in Lakewood, Ohio, United States. Known for its great beer and food at reasonable prices, this establishment is a favorite among locals. Regulars appreciate the personalized service from Cass, who greets them by name and knows their order as soon as they walk in. However, some customers have noted that another bartender named Steve can be rude and unpleasant, creating a negative atmosphere on the nights he is working. Despite this, The Red Rose Cafe is still a go-to spot for wings and watching sports games. Customers are advised to call ahead for seating, especially during COVID restrictions. Though some have experienced long wait times and subpar service, many still enjoy the overall experience at this cozy neighborhood bar.

"Ryan is AMAZING! he makes the best drinks and is always here and always working so hard. I'm always so happy when he's our bartender :) He works bar and kitchen which is super impressive. Get his food and drinks. You won't be disappointed"

"Hit or miss. Some days service is great other times not so much. Wings are pretty good though. They have a fun mini bowling machine and usually sports are on."

"I love this place! You cannot beat the price of wings however, stay away from the blue cheese it's gross like old Kraft. So far the rest of the food that I tried there is pretty good. I just tried a hamburger. It was really good!! They also have a coin operated old school bowling thing that is amazing. I've gone there with three friends and I've gone there with 20 friends and the experience is great. The dart board is a little hard to get to but it is there. As I end all my reviews and does not count against. No military discount."

"This is my favorite bar, the beer and food are great and reasonably priced. Cass knows us by name and knows our order as soon as we walk in. The only reason my review is 4 stars instead of 5 is because on the nights Cass isn’t there the other bar tender (I think his name is steve) is very rude and gives us a dirty look or rolls his eyes the second we sit down. He makes us feel bad for patronizing the bar we love and the bar has an all round negative atmosphere when he is there. He’ll make comments like “if you don’t order in 2 minutes I’ll have to make your food,” and he also closes the kitchen when it’s supposed to be open because he doesn’t feel like working the fryer. I’d hate to see my favorite bar lose business because of one rude, miserable employee."
