"My husband and I stopped here as part of my birthday dinner. As frequent visitors to Dianna's in Port Clinton, I was thrilled to see one in Lakewood (I found out this was NOT under the same ownership). We didn't wait long for our server to take our drink and food order. My husband ordered a cheeseburger and fries, and I ordered the cajun chicken monterey, which came with salad, rice pilaf, and green beans. Our meals took a bit to arrive (I had a feeling there was only one person working in the kitchen). My salad was less than desirable; it was rather "old" and nothing but the iceberg lettuce mix from a bag. My husband was not happy with his cheeseburger; he stated it was cooked through (not med well as he ordered) and was really dry. My chicken was awful; it was so coated in cajun seasoning that I couldn't even get past the salt. It was like eating a salt lick!! The green beans were the only thing that I'd list as 'sub-par'. However, they do have good coffee. In all, the service was good, and the server was very pleasant. The atmosphere is ok. It wasn't dirty or dingy and was nicely decorated for Christmas. But for the price we paid and the quality of our meal, we won't be returning."
