Rimer Elementary School

"Overall decent school. My daughter is in kindergarten in Miss Richards class. She absolutely loves her teacher. Definitely saw an improvement with my daughter’s learning just within a few months. Principle seen cussing about another parent outside the building when children were getting out. I definitely thought it was completely unprofessional. Extremely rude receptionists, I say receptionists because it’s never the same woman but they are all extremely rude. If it wasn’t for her teacher and how great she’s doing at this school, I would probably transfer her to a different school."

"I had my children switched to another school halfway through the year due to the lack of control the principal and teachers have. My youngest son was bullied for almost 2 years and the school does nothing about it. I have been told by the principal to have my children tell on someone doing anything to them. They principal then tells my son he’s a tattle tale. A child bent my sons fingers backwards and when he attempted to tell mr. smith he was told to go away. He found another teacher and reported the issue. I called to the school to figure out what was going on and was told my son never approached mr. smith about the issue. This was on a Friday, fast forward to Monday, mr. smith confronted my son and told him he never tried to tell mr. smith about the incident and my son insisted he did so mr. smith tells my son that he (mr.smith) is 50 or 55 years old and he isn’t going to argue with an 8 year old! The principal has instructed me to call apd on an issue that happened on school grounds because she can’t do anything more! That’s her job! Lack of interest for the kids and definitely not good role models! My oldest son started to defend himself and my youngest from other kids because the school does nothing about it and they have suspended him for hitting other kids back! Well if they handled the situation to begin with things would not of come to being physical. Board of ed is unhelpful to a point! Parents need to band together and stop this school from being ran into the ground. Children should feel safe at school and not be bullied by the staff or children. And surprise, my children got their report card from rimer at their new school and rimer put my one child at a 3.0 when he was a 3.72, grades closed right after they switched school! Not surprised at all! Vindictive and utterly disgusting the way this school is ran and if any parents want to come together to make this problem stop feel free to contact me."

"Horrible school they won't even let the kids dress up for Halloween.. Seriously who doe's that?"

"Parking lot very small. Afternoons Parking lot is overflowing where you can get blocked in by other cars, because it's that small of parking. Staff is , can be very rude. Ever since the old principal left it went down hill. Bullying big time. Punishment is a joke. Personal experience with my kids."

"Best elementary school!! I went there and this fall my daughter will be attending for Pre-K!! Couldn't be more thrilled!!"
