Reviews
"I’ve decided to post a review sharing our negative experience with the Green Kindercare for other parents considering sending their child here. Our 7 month old daughter started off in the infant room towards the end of 2022. We immediately started picking up on red flags and seeing things we did not witness at her previous daycare (that we were happy at, but unexpectedly closed.) Almost every day, regardless of the time my husband or I dropped her off or picked her up, there was at least one other baby left alone crying on the floor not being attended to while the staff cleaned up, fed other babies, etc. It felt like it was every day. We suspected her diaper was not being changed as often as they indicated in the app. She never had gotten diaper rash prior to starting at kindercare, but constantly had it when she went there. One day she went almost 6 hours without a diaper change (according to the app) and I suspect this happened more often than we were aware of. We decided to pull her after they forgot to give her an afternoon bottle. She had been going to kindercare and on the same routine of 2 bottles/ day. How do you forget to give a bottle to a young baby? What is more concerning is that it was marked in the app that she drank the whole thing at the time she normally does. When we got home, she was cranky and clearly hungry. When my husband picked her up that day, the staff handed over an untouched full bottle like it wasn’t unusual at all. This caused me to really not trust what was being recorded in the app - diaper changes, naps, feedings, etc. and we pulled her immediately. I felt like each day was a free for all and survival mode for the staff - she never really got into a routine that they followed. There were several times that she was picked up at the end of the day and looked like she was not taken care of - soaking wet clothes, nose was crusted over and looked like it had not been wiped all day, etc. When we asked why she was soaking wet when we picked her up, the staff didn’t know. She looked like someone dumped a water bottle on her and was cold, yet they didn’t change her outfit or even notice. We also picked up on some other smaller concerns - babies being propped up on a Boppy pillow to give themselves a bottle rather than being held. Their turnover seemed to be high and there were constantly new staff that we didn’t recognize. We were never made aware of staffing changes or new hires. I’m sure they were overwhelmed and undertrained, which is probably why mistakes were being made. Within the first 2 weeks of starting, there were confirmed Covid, strep, and hand foot and mouth cases in the infant room alone. I know daycare kids get sick constantly and this was in December, but this seemed excessive. I also felt like the staff did not work with us and communicate things clearly to us - when she was fussy, seemed sick, etc. One day they said she had a great day and as soon as we got home, I could tell she had an ear infection and needed to go to the doctor. They either weren’t paying attention to her or didn’t care - there’s no way they wouldn’t have noticed that she wasn’t acting like herself and tugging at her ears that day. We paid over $300/ week and that is the level of care we got. I am reasonable and understanding, but I was not willing to remind them to give bottles and change her diaper. That’s the bare minimum and if they can’t figure that out, I knew it wasn’t going to be a good long term fit for us. They need to provide more training and supervision for their staff, especially those running the neediest group (infants). I’ve also heard negative stories from former employees. We’ve since moved on to a different local daycare that we are very happy at and have no complaints with. I’d stay away from this place, especially for infants and young kids who can’t tell you what’s actually happening during the day."
"Kindercare has been such a blessing to our family. Our little one is learning faster than we ever imagined. Each educator has their own unique and efficient way of teaching and matching each child’s learning style! They challenge the kids yet still stay on track with their age and don’t push the limits! They let them be kids! We love it here. 100/10 recommend!"
"LONG BUT WORTH THE READ: My grandson was originally here at KinderCare in Green. I picked him up several times per week. He always loved it here and had made some great friends and adored the teachers, especially Miss Jessamyn! His mom's work location changed and it made more sense for him to go to a KinderCare closer to her employment, so he switched. He was there almost one year and was VERY unhappy, unable to make friends (which is not the norm for an extremely social child). Pair that with the constant shuffling of staff coming and going as well as frequent turnover rates, he stopped thriving and cried every single day knowing he had to go. His behavior reflected this increased unhappiness he was experiencing. As a family, it was absolutely heartbreaking to see him struggle. I reached out to Miss Brittney at the Green office, spoke of our very real concerns and she immediately stated that she was also concerned and was going to figure this out and would do what was the very best for my grandson. By the very next week, he was back at Green KinderCare and has reverted back to the VERY happy-go-lucky 4 year old that we know and love! He looks so forward to seeing his friends and he comes home quite literally smiling and singing! I cannot say enough good things about the staff and administration at the Green office. If you want to see your child THRIVE, I strongly suggest and recommend that you call Green! Thank you from the bottom of our family's VERY GRATEFUL hearts, Miss Brittney! We will never forget the kindness and compassion you have shown us as well as all families that attend there!"
"My sons both go to KinderCare in Green and I couldn’t be more happy with our experience! I have seen such an improvement in my toddler’s speech since starting and my preschooler comes home telling me all the things he learns everyday. The staff and teachers are top notch and treat us like family. I couldn’t have found a better place or better people to care for my children. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for childcare."
"Our daughter has been going to this preschool for almost two years now. She has absolutely loved every day of it. These ladies have shown our entire family love and the only wish we have is that we would have found them sooner. I trust them completely with my child and know that she is not only having fun and being very well taken care of. They have taught her so much and have gotten her more than prepared for kindergarten this coming year. We will miss them , and are eternally grateful for every teacher who has genuinely loved our child."
