"Food was good but overpriced. Bread was the best, but I thought it might be better served with meal than as a separately ordered/paid item. I had the pork shoulder dish, which was really good. Others in party had a steak, NOT cooked as ordered (med rare…. served barely pink) and a chicken special, which looked really good. My drinks were just ok…. Service was inattentive. We allowed 90 min for dinner and were a half hour late for a play… With only three tables of diners in the whole place. Really inexcusable; waitress ignored us. I didn’t take pics, but food was nicely presented. It just wasn’t justified by the cost. No need to re-visit. Disappointing to say the least."

"This place exceeded my expectations. I went here in December of 2023, but have been wanting to check this place out for a couple of years. First off, before the good stuff, here is the "meh". Just like other steak houses in the area, everything is à la carte. Pretty expensive when you factor in how much a steak on its own is. You will most likely have to spend well over $75 per person if you want a filling meal. That does not include cocktails. The atmosphere is also very lackluster compared to other steak houses in the area. The food itself was fantastic. I went with two other and all three of our steaks were cooked to perfection. Great crust and medium-rare, just like we ordered. The dry-age on the strip was great and so were the non-aged options. Other awesome dishes were the bitterballen, the mac and cheese, and the lobster tail. I also loved my old-fashioned. It was balanced and smooth. Service was pretty good. Nothing exceptional, and no "wow" factor....but pretty good! Overall, this place exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it to those in the Covington area!"

"Had an excellent dinner at Lisse. Cocktails and food were great. Started with a Kentucky Sunset and some Bitterballen. Followed up with The Hemmer Hammer and the Dutch Filet. All was delicious. If you are there on a clear evening, make a trip to the rooftop bar for an old fashioned and a great view of downtown Cincinnati. Enjoy!"

"True Score- 4.56/5 Stars This experience was honestly incredible. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and the facilities were great. Interestingly, this is apace where you can either spend a lot of money, or even stay under 100 and have a fantastic meal. We started the evening with the Bitterballen, and honestly, the dish was extremely disappointing. The balls were very small, and for 10 dollars, you only get 5 of them They tasted great enough, but I would strongly advise against ordering them unless they up the quantity. With that, we also each had a Kentucky Sunset, which was a great cocktail. We each ordered the ribeye, and it was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks I have ever had. We ordered two sides, the hotsput and the Dutch Mac and Cheese. Both were so good, and also served in sharable portions. The hotsput was nothing like anything I have ever had (in a good way) and the Mac and cheese was very creamy but not liquid-y. We finished the night with an order of the boterkoek, which was sweet and delicious. Service was extraordinary. Our server was so personable, easy going, and timely. I believe service can make or break an experience, and frankly every restaurant should aspire to be like Lisse in this regard. I believe John F(?) was our server, and he was great! Cost was great. Many dishes are pretty cheap, however you can also go pretty big here. For everything we got, it was roughly 250 dollars, but you could easily come here and spend under 100 for two people. Very versatile financially which I think is AWESOME! The restaurant had beautiful design inside and out. It felt very clean, modern, and upscale. Pretty casual dress code, and overall a comfortable place. My favorite part was the stained glass on the first floor! I believe there is rooftop seating, but I did not get to go up there. Overall, one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The appetizer was the only flaw on this beautiful restaurant. I would love love love to come back, and I will be suggesting it to anybody that I know.
