"Tonight, I ordered Fried Dumplings. When they were delivered, I opened the container and they were burnt (please see the attached). I called the restaurant and the owner’s son (who takes most of the orders and works at the front counter) answered. I explained the dumplings were fried and burnt. I explained they even smelled burnt. He said he would call his father (who delivered the food) to instruct him to come back to my residence and pick up the food; and they would issue me a refund. I explained to him I wanted dumplings; so, I asked him to re-make the dumplings and when the corrected dumplings were delivered, I would give them the burnt dumplings. He said, “No, that option isn’t available at this time.” I asked why isn’t the option wasn’t available. He stated they would just come to pick up the burnt dumplings and issue a refund. I further explained that money (a refund) isn’t the issue. I didn’t want a refund. I wanted the dumplings I ordered to be corrected and re-delivered. He told me that I would be charged a second delivery fee. I asked him, “Why would I be charged a second delivery fee when the restaurant made the mistake?” He pivoted; and stated that re-delivery isn’t an available option. When I questioned why not, he stated, “Because we don’t want to.” I told him, “You just lost a customer!” This family-owned restaurant has poor customer service. This incident isn’t my first time experiencing sub-par customer service; but, I wanted to give them the “benefit of the doubt.” The restaurant made the mistake; but, wouldn’t be inconvenienced to ensure the customer was satisfied. Patronize this place at your own risk! If they mess up your order, they won’t go out of their way to make it right. I will NEVER bring my money back to this poor excuse of a business!"
