"We ate here while in town for a late dinner on Saturday night and lunch on Sunday. We went back because the 5 year old said it was the best burger in the world. The prices are so reasonable. The food is delicious. The decor has not changed in 50 plus years so if this is important to you don’t stop. If good home cooking at a great price is what you are looking for stop by. We had pork tenderloin, burger, omelets, French toast, grotto and the fried chicken which all of them were delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. A good hidden gem."
"The pancakes were delicious. The hash browns with onions were crispy and good, especially with their hot sauce. Their veggie omelette with peppers, tomatoes, jalapeños and mushrooms was perfect. We found this 78 year restaurant by searching Google Maps for a restaurant that served breakfast. Our waitress was extremely helpful with recommendations and attentive with coffee refills. She even opened and ran the “Band-Box” for us. It was only a short drive from I-71/75 and very worth it, with ample parking."
"Slice of Americana. 1st time breakfast at the Anchor Grill in Covington. Opened 1946. Cash only. Jukebox. Service w/ a smile. Damn fine breakfast."
"Great mom & pop joint. Food is hot and very tasty. This place has been open for 77 years and the decor is prob the same as it was back in the day. Make sure you bring cash because they don’t take credit. The Waitresses were extremely kind and the coffee was bottomless. I had the two eggs over medium with sausage and toast and hash browns with onions and you just can’t go wrong with it. We would return."
