"Just an usually strange experience. Found this place on a Google search and drove about 4 miles to visit it with my three grandkids. Sat down and looked at the small menu, ordered omelets with potatoes and pancakes and a side order of bacon for everyone. Our waiter (the owner?) said we are having problems today as he took our order. After a few mins wait he came back and apologized that they had only enough batter to make three pancakes. I said ok just bring three. He came back with three pancakes that I would describe as crispy, While we waited what seemed like a good while for the rest of our order, he came to the table with the other pancake saying they had "found" more batter. A few mins wait later, he brought out what they called our ham & cheese omelets. It was like the cook had no idea what an omelet was supposed to look like. It was more like a egg frittia. Tasted fine but did not even resemble an omelet. Maybe five mins later, he brought some kind of fried potato that I guess were the hash browns. Again tasted ok, just a weird presentation. Just about the time we were finishing up, he brought out our side of bacon. Seemed we had been. sated there around thirty mins longer than we should have been. He dropped off our check, and I walked around to the cashier area and pulled out my card. He says sorry, we only take cash, He pointed to a small sign on the cash register that said cash only. I said, "Are you kidding me? I have not seen a restaurant thar didn't take credit cards in 25 years. I said I don't carry cash (the truth). Do you have a ATM? He says there is a bank on the other side of the street two blocks down. Then he says, "Don't worry, I trust you. That should not have been. A stretch for him as I had three kids with me still finishing their breakfast. I walked the two blocks to the bank, in 28 degree temps, got cash, walked back, and paid the bill. I considered not writing this review, but then I thought maybe I had to. These are probably really great people. The one cook looked to be in her 80s. but they have no business running a restaurant. It's not the worst, but it's certainly one of my weirdest restaurant experiences ever! .I only visited Cincinni a few times a year, but since this visit was so incredibly odd, I plan to stop in the next time I'm in that area and give them a 2nd try. This time I will bring cash! He did announce right after we sat down ..WE ARE HAVING A BAD DAY!"

"About what you would expect except for the extremely slow cooking of food. Our waiter was quick and the price is cheap, but be prepared to wait. They said they were busy and there were 5 total people in the whole restaurant. Not for me."

"Delicious and inexpensive Breakfast! I had 2 × Over Easy Eggs, Hash Browns, Bacon and Wheat Toast for $8.95. All were perfectly prepared and hot when receiving. The 97 year old cook/owner is the best!"

"Amazing old school diner with a classic feel and lovely service. The chef fresh making the food and asking every detail we like from the kitchen was homely. Feels like lunch at grandpa's house. All the items were tasty, I had a steak hoagie and goetta and she had pancakes and eggs. Cozy lunch stop. Felt well cared for and loved the fixtures and design, this diner is a blast from the past. You'll feel like you're taking a lunch break back in your childhood."

"I have been coming here since I was 8 years old and now I come in whenever I am in town and I am 58. Angelo is the owner and he remembers everyone who has ever stepped foot in his door and he is now 97 and still here cooking. The food is amazing and the decor is the exact same that it was when I came in after grade school to eat. I put a picture here of how I looked when I started coming here and now with Angelo."
