"With so many great things to say, where does one even begin? This place and the people who run it are AMAZING. We are so thankful that we stumbled across this gem in Alexandria and regret that we didn’t find it sooner. The owner and her staff are exceptional, and unlike other daycares, staff turnover is very low (which speaks to the positive environment facilitated by leadership). These are people who genuinely care about your children and want what is best for them. Parents are provided with multiple updates throughout the day and have a ton of visibility into what their child did that day. When we ask the staff members questions about our children, we are met with kindness and openness, not annoyance and hostility (as we encountered during our first childcare experience at a religious-affiliated preschool in the community). If you need to drop your kid off late due to a scheduled appointment, there are zero issues - you are immediately greeted with a friendly teacher who acts happy to see your child (this was important to us - at the aforementioned preschool, we were punished for showing up late due to appointments and would be forced to sit in our car for 20-30 minutes before someone would come out to let us in). After bad childcare experiences, finding borrowed babies was a massive blessing. The staff members are constantly going out of their way to plan new and fun activities for the kids. They don’t have to do this, but again, they put the kids first and want the children to have a fun and positive experience. Between the various holiday celebrations, carnival, theme weeks, etc, our kids are always doing something new and exciting. The generosity of the owner is unmatched. Between all of the personalized items that our kids have received (birthday books and shirts, snow globes, puzzles, bags, keychains, calendars, etc), the holiday party, and pre school graduation, she goes WELL out of her way to make the kids and their parents feel special. No other daycare owners spend their time and money to go above and beyond like Liz does, which is a reflection of how much she cares for the kids in her program. Our children have thrived at Borrowed Babies, especially our five year old. He is more than prepared for kindergarten due to the preschool program and his outstanding teacher. Our kids look forward to going to school every day and talk to us about how much they love their teachers and friends. When our kids are out sick, we have staff members sending us messages to check in on them. I can’t emphasize enough how much the staff genuinely cares for and loves your children! Alexandria is truly fortunate to have this high-quality center. Cannot recommend enough!"

"I would like to thank the Borrowed Babies Learning Center for the phenomenal job they do on a daily basis. My daughter started the after-school program in the spring and her grades have improved tremendously. She was worried about map testing and her scores went through the roof and she gained so much self confidence. I cannot thank the ladies enough for all their wonderful help. My daughter loves to go to the school age program and she talks about the amazing and fun projects they get to do. Thank you all for the work you do!"

"Borrowed babies preschool is the best environment for your child. The staff is kind, helpful, patient, and caring. My child was very shy when she first started, they encouraged and helped her blossom into a well spoken 5 year old. I’m fully confident she is kindergarten ready."

"If you’re in need of childcare or preschool, Borrowed Babies is an amazing facility with phenomenal staff. They have caring adults who love the kids, and also a group of high school staff who pour into the kids. They go above and beyond to make sure the kids feel comfortable and go all out for holidays and birthdays. And my kids learn along the way! The owner, Liz, is amazing to work with and prioritizes safety within the building. You can tell her leadership is innate and comes naturally to her. Her care for the kids is the same. All 3 of my kids have been in Liz’s care and she (along with her staff) truly treats them like family. 110% recommend to anyone and everyone who is looking for a quality daycare facility."

"Absolutely the best daycare. Wonderful people to work with. Owner treats the staff so well there is not a high turn over. I love the aspect of learning through play and different activities. If they can go outside they take them and get the fresh air. Update the app so I know what’s going on with my kids during the day with photos, and always answer quickly any messages or calls I make. I have four kids and this was first time I had to use daycare and not family. I researched and interviewed many places and this is the only one I was pleased with. Total trust leaving my 3 year old and 6 month old with them. Thank you for being so good to the ones I love dearly!!"
