"My son and I went to lunch at 11 am. We walked in expecting a "Hi". Nothing. The man cooking ask what we wanted with no expression at all. We ordered 2 whole sandwiches and 2 lg fries. We moved to the end to pay. There were 4 people working in the galley. They talked to each other. We paid, got our drinks, condiments etc. The area was not clean and there was only 1 bottle of malt vinegar half full. We sat down and was looking around while waiting for our food. The floor was streaky. The food came and the female employee could have had better hygiene. I also noticed the young male employee cutting vegetables on the counter. He reached in his pocket, grabbed his phone, looked at it , swiped it and put it back in his pocket. He never changed his gloves and proceeded to continue to cut the veggies. The sandwich was great but half the fries were under cooked. If we didn't spend nearly $50, I would have left. I really once loved this place. Never again."

"Went Friday 12/8 at 6:00 pm. Ordered the large Cheesesteak and medium fries. It was $17.38 which in my opinion is overpriced, but that's not nearly what I am complaining about. If I can help it, I will probably never go to Penn Station again. When I walked in, I noticed wrappers and sauce cups on the floor like the place hadn't been cleaned since yesterday. I got in line and I didn't know where to stand. I don't get why I order and pay for my food from different people on two different ends. It doesn't seem more efficient. When I went to look at the menu, the prices were listed away from the food item. It seems intentional to distract the customer from the price. When I placed my name for the order, they spelled it wrong, even after I said it twice. The employees were using one drinking fountain to fill customer's drinks, instead of keeping one behind the counter. Incredibly inefficient, plus it prevents customer access. Got my food to go, and it was fine. Standard wait time. I was eating the fries on the drive home. When I got home, I was halfway done, I saw a plastic piece in the middle of my cup. It could not have gotten there from me, I had nothing like it in my car, and I didn't order a drink or anything with plastic. Plus, it was in the middle of the cup. I do not know whose responsibility this was. I do not necessarily want them fired but retrained. The person who handed me my food was named Ayana, and I am unsure of who was handling my potatoes, but it was their job to ensure that there was no plastic in my food. You have lost a customer. I now plan on buying all of my dinner sandwiches from Super Subby's of Vandalia like I should have done originally. I should have trusted my system."

"Great place for subs and more. They have classic cold cut sandwiches, hot subs etc. All pretty standard if you’ve ever been to a Penn Station before. The fresh squeezed lemonade is a must try. Also the fries and fried in peanut oil and are gluten free. I recommend the pizza sub as it is delicious."
