"I don't know what's happened... Tres has been my favorite Mexican place in Marysville for YEARS but the past few times we've been here, the quality just isn't the same. I do want to list a positive before the negative- every server we've had here is very nice and attentive. My issue is with the food we've had on our recent visits. We're basically regulars here. Lately, our food is extremely salty (in mine and my kids' opinion) with today being the salsa and queso to be especially salty. The chips we were given were either old, fried in old oil, reheated or something. They were kind of hard to chew and some had a burnt taste. Our meals were just ok. The rice seemed old, had little flavor, and was kind of mushy. I hardly ever post reviews but decided to this time because tonight is the third or fourth try I've given them to see if it would get better and it hasn't. We probably won't be going back anytime soon :("

"We stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon and we were seated immediately. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly. There is even some kid friendly choices that my son really appreciated. It took our server a little while to fill our empty drinks but overall a good experience and We will definitely stop again."
"We came here a little after opening and got seated right away on a Sunday. The food here was pretty authentic for Mexican food. The chips and salsa were great. We ordered Cher-cheese dip, it was perfect with the chips. The Chicago burrito was not as big as I thought it would be. But non the less it has plenty of meat and fillings. My wife got the birria tacos and they were not what we were expecting at all. They were not dipped and fried with cheese. They were just street tacos with birria meat with a dip sauce. I was a bit displeased that there was no Tapatio hot sauce or Cholula. Seating was kind of crammed for bigger people. And service was slow."
