Sunrise Sanctuary, located at 16730 Martin Welch Road in Marysville, Ohio, is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for farmed and companion animals. For over 20 years, we have provided a safe haven for animals who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected, giving them a second chance at life and a forever home. Our mission is to promote more humane and compassionate behaviors towards animals, believing that every living creature has value and deserves to live free from suffering and exploitation.
As a grassroots organization, we heavily rely on the support of our community through monetary donations, in-kind donations, and volunteer assistance. Your support is vital to our ability to continue caring for these animals in need. All donations are tax deductible, and we provide a letter for each donation in accordance with IRS guidelines.

"I found out about Sunrise while looking up sanctuaries in my area. I felt in love with their work and visited for the first time in one of their events in 2021. It was Regen’s birthday (a beautiful pig who was turning 1). It was amazing to visit all the residents, learn about their background (they had a poster with the story for each animal) and meet some really friendly staff. They had great vegan lunch and baked goods. If you are looking to learn more about sanctuaries and their animal advocacy I highly recommend you going to Sunrise in one of their events and also donating towards the care of their animals! "This is an incredible little non-profit sanctuary where nearly all of the animals have the opportunity to comingle and inhabit the same area. The volunteers are all very kind and do a wonderful job of accomodating the balance of allowing visitors to interact with the animals and keeping those same animals comfortable in the place that they live."
