"Menards is always great. You get mixed reviews often about these chain stores. However we have never had any issues we buy a lot of our hardware items here as well as any paint project needs we may have. We have also recently discovered that it’s a great place to buy your paper products and laundry soaps in bulk as they are cheaper and they offer the 11% rebate on all items so you could a lot of money by utilizing this."
"Menards has opted to doing self service. If you buy lumber or drywall, ect, that you have to drive to the back area to pick up, you LOAD IT YOURSELF! Higher prices an no employee to help you! I'm a 120 pound senior citizen lady, an had to load a sheet of drywall by myself. Guess my safety isn't as important to Menards as cash saved from having less employees! I'll drive farther (to Lowes) if I buy anything big from now on."
"The scanner at the check-in gate is a little difficult to use. I had trouble getting it to read my phone barcode. The employees are off friendly in willing to help. I just wish they gave the 10% veterans discount like Lowe's."
"Very poor service of the customer personnel, they should explain things better to you and when you buy a gas power tool, everyone knows you need to put gas in the tool in order to see if it's going to work, and if the tool doesn't work they should take the tool back or give you your money back. I feel that Menard's customer service leaves a lot to be desired and employees need more training in this area. Why must a customer receive store credit? Customer's should be able to receive their money back to go else where if they choose. Believe me there are better home improvement stores out their than Menards."
