Back 40 Junction Restaurant

"My family and I were there for supper on Thursday, Feb 22, 2024. I was taking my daughter and son-in-law out to thank them for my post surgery care. I was embarrassed by the quality of the food on the hot bar. Having said this I will also state we did not go home hungry. I was disappointed with the Prime Rib. It was dry as it was not held in an Au ju sauce and chewy. I also had a tough, chewy, small chicken breast that had a white sauce on it. The tomato basil soup had a sharp acidic flavor and should have had a smoother taste. When I tried to pay my bill, the hostess was missing for several minutes. Other staff noticed me waiting at the cash register and did not appear to tell the hostess I was waiting. The hostess did not apologize for her absence or the fact that no one else could cover for her."

"The food was really good and the service was great. However I found there to be extremely limited options on hot foods as they only offer one hot station. Salad bar was also very limited on options but it's was very good. I think it's very overpriced for the options given but the building itself is a great visit. Smallest buffet I've ever been to but food was great however limited it was."

"The food was delicious and tasted like it was all made from scratch. The rolls were light and fluffy and the cinnamon butter was good. The pot roast and turkey were both good. My boyfriend loved the prime rib. The salad bar was fresh and being restocked right away. Everything was clean. And the waitress was friendly and attentive. The homemade dessert selection was good. And they even hand dip ice cream to go with your pie. The hostess was helpful in explaining prices for various days and times. I recommend reading their website for pricing info before you go. We definitely will go back."

"Stopped for a late lunch, never been here before and didn't know it was a buffet. The price was great at $13.95 for all you can eat, drinks were additional. Salad bar, soup bar with cheese and crackers. Fruit was really fresh and tasty. Meats were cooked and sliced for you or you could have fried fish or chicken along with various sides. Dessert was cakes, cookies, bread pudding with the wonderful sauces to top off. Will go back again when in the area. Wonderful artist works throughout the restaurant."

"Since it's Friday, I asked My Young Beautiful Bride out for a date. Took her to Decator and the "Back 40 junction restaurant". This was an amazing experience for both of us, the atmosphere was truly amazing, the sights and decorations are outstanding. The management and staff are the most friendly people we have ever encountered in the 43 years of our marriage. And I haven't even gotten to the outstanding food selection, everything was prepared to perfection. It's a shame that we live so far away, but we know, we will definitely be visiting this place again ☺️."
