"10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND Well I will start off by saying this restaurant looks to be a beautiful Italian restaurant inside and out, but that's the only good thing about it... I took my wife out on valentines day and I anticipated an hour wait so I wasn't upset when it took 45 minutes to get a table. What I'm mad about is the service and the food. It took our waitress over 10 minutes to come and take our drink order without seeing her prior to this or even Acknowledging we sat down. By that point we were already ready to order. Like any Italian restaurant I order there bread sticks as an appetizer. We then got 2 simple dishes of spaghetti and meat balls as well as Fettuccine alfredo, this took an hour to get with no sign of our breadsticks. When our food came out our waitress said oh I brought 2 more breadsticks that came with your meal... we never got our appetizer order.. (need less to say i was going to be charged $7 for 2 breadsticks) when I told her she asked if we wanted them now or boxed up Togo RAW to cook at home I was Beyond mad with that... can you say health code violation (honestly i should have said yes just to report them but i didn't). On top of that our meal was so bland we both couldn't finish it and it wasn't worth even boxing to take home. I would be embarrassed to own an Italian restaurant with food like that didn't even have an ounce of garlic in anything. 10 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND"

"Another formerly nice place that's gone downhill. My wife have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years every time we visit Pokagon state park. It used to be great - our kids even had their wedding dinner there. But the last two or three times, since Covid hit, its been lousy. Yesterday was the last chance... still bad. Arrived at about 5pm on a Wednesday and they were not busy. Ordered salad and breadsticks and two entrees. Took WAY too long to get the salads and sticks. Then, after one bite of salad, the entrees arrived. By the time we got to them they were cold. Inexcusable. The chicken Marsala was just OK, but the accompanying pasta was mushy and the sauce tasted as if it came from a jar. My wife's lasagna was flaccid noodles and little else. No meat, barely sauced, and no cheese inside, just a bit of mozzarella on top. She likened it to a frozen Stouffer's. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. That will be our last visit to Caruso's. Shame on you!"

"We started off with the breadsticks and mozzarella cheese stick apps. I had the Cod parmigiana with roasted broccoli. The wife had the lasagna. Our daughter had the chicken strip basket. Food was hot and of excellent quality. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Food was served in a timely fashion and drinks were frequently checked and promptly refilled. We didn't feel rushed and overall it was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We will definitely be going back and HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone."
