"I have been a member of this credit union for about 30 years. Have lived through two mergers over the years with other credit unions. Ficare is the newest merger. The people at the Gainesville branch are great. However, not happy with Ficare's fees. For example, why would you charge seniors for paper statements. Prior to the merger the cut off was age 55 and up received free paper statements. This made sense since many seniors are on a fixed income. Ficare's cut off is age 70. Since the merger I have had 7 or 8 seniors contact me about these fees, since I was chair of the board for a time prior to the last two members. These members plan to close their accounts as $60 per year to receive paper statements is just crazy. I checked on line, and all the other credit unions give free statements for elders. Sadly FiCare is not in tune with its members and thus several long term members have stated they are leaving the credit union."

"Had the most amazing experience with Angelica K. She was so professional and compassionate with me. She actually took the time to go over with my account so that I could comprehend the billing. She was able to correct error on my statement and provided me with the correct amount due. In this day and age, it's so refreshing to have someone who will take the time and (patience) with someone like me who is not as knowledgeable.
