"If I could give 10 stars I would! The owner Jesse Smith not only does beautiful work and has an incredible selection of material, he's also a great communicator and a really nice guy who clearly enjoys his work. We had a big renovation that required a lot of different wood. We needed to match existing heart pine flooring to repair damaged areas and for an extension in a room. Jesse chose great boards to match our grain and milled flooring to the exact size as our existing. Now that it's all been sanded and readied for refinishing, you can't tell which boards were which! Jesse also milled about 500 square feet of cypress flooring for us, from our existing exterior siding - 60 year old wood that had to be planed and milled into tongue and groove flooring. Most boards were over 10 feet and some of the boards were 15+ feet long. Jesse was smart enough to contact me after he had a chance to go through the boards we gave him and advise that one particularly nice board should be saved for the stair skirt. He also milled our cypress into stair treads. Each tread identical in thickness with a beautiful nosing. It's all gorgeous!! Our installer was genuinely impressed with the precision of the milling, especially given the length of many of the boards! Jesse also supplied us with an enormous, solid 7" x 7" pine post that serves as a structural and decorative element in the front foyer. Finally, Jesse milled several cedar posts for our new covered front entry way. All along the way, Jesse matched my required measurements and he made commitments and followed through on them. I never once worried whether he would be finished when he said he would be. And in a final act, because of a miscalculation on my part, he was able to squeeze us in and mill an additional 50 sq ft of cypress flooring for a closet. I can not recommend him more highly."
