Dunedin Floors and Granite

"I paid a deposit of $1,276.96 on September 29, 2021 to Dunedin Floors & Granite, Inc after I came into their Tampa location and Joe the salesperson quoted me. The 2 page quote and bill had no legalese on cancellation penalties or time/date the quote was good or on materials purchased. I ran into construction issues with the city and kept in contact them letting them know it would take a while til I was ready since my construction was delayed again. I followed up a few weeks ago and told them I no longer needed their work/granite and please return my deposit as they never bought anything for my job they just kept the deposit. I was told they had bought my granite and I owe them and it's been in storage. This is not what Joe the salesperson told me and followed up for months telling me they lost the granite style I wanted on the ship it was on to Tampa and asked me to come in and pick out another style. I text him and called him and said I was having issues and I will come in once I have an idea of when I would be ready for their work. I called back every few months to check in and they said when I was ready just come in and look at their samples. So literally I gave them $1,276.96 and they refuse to give it back."

Dawn in the store was great to work with and all the installers were professional and did outstanding work. I wish I had more floors and counter tops to do so I could work with them again. "We are very dissatisfied with our tile and carpet installation from Dunedin Floors and Granite. The grout between our floor tiles is permanently stained from basic foot traffic. Repeated cleaning attempts have not made a difference. We were told our grout would be sealed, but obviously it was not. Regarding the carpeting, our carpeting is bulging and our carpet pad is compressed and offers little padding. We paid for a "premium" carpet pad, and what we got was not good if it is this bad only four years later. We contacted the company regarding the carpet bulging and grout staining. The manager Joe Crouch came out on site and said that the bulging of the carpet was due to using a rental carpet cleaner on it. I agree to disagree with him there, and there is no way to tell unless the carpet is removed from the padding. Joe stated he would check our records regarding the grout sealing, but he did not. When we contacted him multiple times, he ignored us completely without any response. What kind of manager does that? We paid this company $7,140 for this job only four years ago. Now we will have to pay another company to professionally clean and seal the grout. We are also considering replacing the low quality carpet and padding in our house. How could anyone be satisfied in this situation? The quality of materials, installation, and service from dealing with this company was very low. Because of this experience, we strongly recommend you look elsewhere for another more reliable and professional company."
