"Living here the first year was amazing, there was a property manager named sam who went above & beyond after she left this place became a mess. Do not move here, We had problems for over 6 months that went unresolved including Ac problems, moisture mold growing in all of our walls which went unresolved until corporate was contacted mold was painted over multiple times until we got mad, we didn’t have lights in our apartment, our light switches had electrical problems. Getting packages is a huge deal, they tell you to ask you to send an email or text about receiving packages if another roommate is going to pick it up then they proceed to make a huge deal about it & question them. I was told after they lost a package to file it as missing & that i would get refunded. Do not live here after 2 year of living here the manager is horrible & they do not care as long as they fill the apartments. The key fobs stop working anytime it’s cold or raining it’s a safety hazard living here."

"I love the Retreat. The staff are so kind and the property is beautiful. They have everything a resident could hope for, including fun community events and fun holiday giveaways! Their homes have cute exteriors that match their homey interiors, and I absolutely couldn’t wait to sign once I had my tour. I love you retreat."

"Lived here in a talmadge floor plan for 2 years now. Great amenities and nice units with spacious rooms and comfortable common area. Have had some issues with A/C and appliances and getting maintenance to fix things last year but it has have greatly improved. Employees are very kind and helpful with any issues or questions you have. Clubhouse is awesome and employees are always hosting events with food, and/or activities. Overall i’ve enjoyed living here and the plan on staying!"

"I would not recommend living here. We've been experiencing high water bill issues for almost a year, and despite multiple complaints, there has been no resolution. About two months ago, they said they would look into the matter, but we haven't received any responses. Even the UF's intervention was ignored. What's more, this month's water bill still claims we used 40,000 gallons of water. If you don't mind the consistently high water bills, then you can consider living here."

"I do not recommend living here unless you do not mind the following complaints listed below. 1. There is dog poop everywhere, EVEN THE SIDE WALK, despite there being bags available. Sometimes the poop disposal bin would run out of bags for a while, and the entire bin would be full of dog poop. The entire property smells like dog poop. 2. People would walk their dogs out without a leash. 3. People speed around the property. Every day it was a battle against other drivers speeding past stop signs and nearly getting hit, whether I was walking or driving. 4. The pool gates were always broken, so the pool was never secured and was always full of people who didn't live there. 5. Upon move in, my entire apartment smelled like dog because of the carpet. I was unable to move my furniture upstairs because I was told that my carpet would be cleaned, but it continued to be put off for more than a month. I slept on my couch downstairs for an entire month and a half because the smell upstairs was so bad and I never knew when they would come to clean the carpet. 6. There is trash everywhere. In the grass, on the sidewalks, and on the pool deck. Whenever the pool would be crowded, there was always so much trash that is left on the floor and in the cabanas. 7. Pool wristbands were never enforced so there was never any space at the pool for residents. 8. There are unsolicited bonfires prompted by residents that happen in the middle of a rainwater retention pond. 9. There are so many red ants on the property. 10. There are so many wasps and wasp nests. 11. The pool would close randomly without notice via email. 12. The internet would go down for long periods of time without notice. 13. Power would be out without notice. 14. There is never any notice except when they have free nacho bars or a volleyball tournament. 15. Management was abysmal. The office was almost always full of student staff who were residents there - which is not a bad thing, but they definitely seemed overworked given their somber demeanor. It would take days to get a response from management. 16. The cost of living is extremely overpriced for what you get. Really, you're paying for the resort style pool that is always trashed, closed randomly, and/or full of people who aren't residents."
