The 40-unit, two-story complex consists of 5 buildings surrounding a pool and laundry facility, and is situated across the street from a park in a quiet, clean, and nice neighborhood. The apartments are within walking distance to Publix and Winn-Dixie shopping centers, gas stations, restaurants, Houses of Worship, entertainment venues, bus lines, and close to the Veterans Parkway (589). The institution is 50 minutes away from Tampa International Airport and is zoned for Explorer K-8 and Springstead High School, which offers an International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Gulf Coast Academy is also nearby.
All apartments at Port Apartments are 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, around 1000 square feet, with an open kitchen design, volume ceilings, dishwasher, large walk-in closet, ceiling fans, central air, and tile in the kitchen and baths. Some apartments are handicap-friendly with 36" doors. Residents can enjoy amenities such as a sparkling clean pool, flower garden, barbeque and picnic area, and a 12-machine laundry facility. The institution offers reasonable rates and 12-month leases, allowing some small pets.
Port Apartments is conveniently located 40 miles north of Tampa International Airport, between the Suncoast Parkway (Veterans 589 Expressway) and US 19, south of State Rd 50. It is just east of Weeki Wachee, home of the Mermaids, a natural freshwater spring, and a few miles from the Gulf of Mexico.
To reach Port Apartments, visitors from the south can take the Suncoast Parkway or US 19 to Spring Hill Drive, then head west to Mariner Blvd. From the north, US Rte. 19 can be taken to Northcliffe Blvd., then turn east on Northcliffe and right on Portillo Road. The Apartments will be on the left-hand side.

"My first apartment ever ... at age 87, this is just the nicest apartment I could ever call home. The whole area is so well maintained and attractive. The landscaping with flowers 'n shrubs, as well as the pool area, are such a welcoming sight as one enters. Quiet and people are friendly and helpful. Not leaving anytime soon, that's for sure !"

"Moved into my apartment June 2020. I'm here to stay. This is by far the nicest, well maintained complex I've ever lived in. The grounds are immaculate, pretty gardens all around, clean laundry facility, clean in-ground pool and the neighbors couldn't be nicer. Something needs fixing - it's done that day or the next at the latest. There is always someone here to help if needed. Management lives on property as well, and the owner is here everyday working on anything that needs fixing/updating. Turnover here is rare - most only happens if someone buys a house or moves out of the area. As soon as an Apartment opens up - there is a renter ready and waiting to grab it. If interested in possibly renting here in the future, getting on the waiting list would be a good idea."
