"Unfortunately I had to cancel a reservation due to travel plan changes. Owners were great to deal with and my refund check was promptly sent...also included a handwritten note thanking me for considering to stay there. Seems like a great place."

"This is such a nice peaceful motel in Hernando Beach. Our room had a kitchenette . It’s a great get away. The owner also owns the Captains house and Walt who is like the “main” guy who takes care of the boat rentals and everything on the property. The girls in the office are super friendly and super nice. They make you feel like you’ve known them for a long time."

"We spent a week in the Motel and can honestly say we will return and recommend it to all. There is much to do from this location. Rent a boat and you are close to swimming, fishing, exploring. By car, there are many nice beaches within reach. There are many restaurants, plenty of places to go shopping and of course there is the 800 pound gorilla "Wiki Wachi", the river is amazing. The motel is out of the way but close to everything. The staff is friendly and you can tell they like their jobs. Nice family atmosphere, you will feel comfortable. Chris and Edith do a great job with the property and their guest. I also enjoyed the awesome garden that gets frequent watering by Walter, the resident caretaker. Seriously go there!!"

"My husband and I recently stayed at the Captain's House and it was delightful! This was our second stay at the guest house. What I love about it is the welcoming atmosphere, as well as the beautiful grounds. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. A heads up, as with most guest houses there is no elevator, so if stairs are difficult, request a first floor room. We are looking forward to our third stay soon at the Captain's House!"

"This beautiful place was my salvation. After hurricane Ian I was BLESSED along with my two pups to have been able to stay here until I found a place to relocate. The office managers are the kindest most caring people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I was a shaken damaged Angel when I arrived there, they provided me with ensuring guidance from the heavenly father and a new friendship. With diligence they keep the grounds lovely the rooms extremely clean sanitized and tidy with smiles on their faces and welcoming hellos and some daily conversations(Edith Chris Miranda and Katie), there is also wonderful maintenance man(Mr Walter) that maintains the motel and keeps tip top shape on everything never walking away from anything that needs to be done, it all matters and the employees here show you it matters. Beautiful people beautiful spot..I didn't want to leave, we stayed there for nearly three months and it felt like our new home. I am grateful for your wonderful motel and beautiful employees. If y'all are in the Tampa area this is your spot to heal relax and catch your breath again. Gratefully thankful Angel"
