10X Retreat at PCB

"We moved in September 2023 We have mold on the bathroom cabinets and they just painted over it and the bottom of the cabinet just keeps crumbling onto the floor when I sweep or mop. All the appliances are very old cabinets and countertops need to all be replaced, we have grout missing in some of the tiles. For the amount we pay for a luxury apartment I am still trying to find the luxury. Carpet keeps coming up. I would love to stay here long term but at this point I am not sure if we will. I have spoken with management and they don’t do much about it. The pictures below are just some of the things wrong. Update as of 01/23/2024 The Maintenance Staff came and put a piece of plywood over one of our cabinets in the bathroom with mold. They also added plywood to the bottom of both bathroom cabinet vanities to cover the existing water damage. They also put some grout in the places where it was missing, as well as put some new lights up so far! This is not a problem with the maintenance staff, they do what they are allowed to do. Still, these apartments are not luxury by any means. Valet garbage has gotten better but still only Sunday - Thursday and it also depends on weather. From talking with neighbors, the gate has been broke for 10 years. These could be really nice and luxurious if maybe they painted the cabinets to a brighter color, so they are not that orange red color, and then put some nice hardware on them. Another idea is putting epoxy the countertops. Also, they could update the appliances to nicer/newer models. The issues that are old or damaged; if it can’t be fixed, it’s time for a new replacement. I don’t think putting a bandaid over the problem is going to do it anymore. I do like living in the area, but calling these luxury and for what we pay for one year ( $22,572 ). The staff is friendly and they do what they can. I think the property owners are the ones not wanting to update stuff!! Also, the light up front by the entrance is really hard to see and sometimes we miss our turn. It’s set back to far. These are not just my feelings of this place, it is a lot of the residents."

"Customer service was excellent and made it very simple and extremely easy! Katie the office secretary is the best!! She is so sweet annd very professional and I absolutely love this apartment complex if I have had any problems they have been taken care of immediately!"

"Out of the 5 complexes I’ve lived this has got to be the most infuriating. Old appliances, really difficult to get the fixed or replaced. Staff/community does not listen to anything if it’s negative feedback. For example surveys sent out about how much more we would pay a month for added services with no option to put 0$ or “I wouldn’t want this”. When asked for feedback this is what I gave and it was ignored. I tried to communicate that a motorcycle that has not been used for 1.5 years has been sitting outside the 1400 unit SO many times. Nothing. Gym equipment broke for 8 months and it is not the first time it’s happened. Gate hasn’t been working since I moved here almost 3 years ago. The “luxury” term has to be a joke. Only reason I have to live here is because it’s the cheapest compared to anywhere around."

"No lighting at main entrance. Little or no lighting throughout complex. Entrance gates have not been functional for 2years. Cars without parking passes are using prime spaces meant for residents. I have put concerns about lighting on every survey but nothing is ever done about them. Can spend $12,000 for new pool furniture but not on safety issues."
