Courtyard Apartments at Cordova

"Current resident. Our washer and dryer have been "in maintenance" for two weeks, with still no idea on an ETA of when it will be fixed. My favroite update from them was yesterday when they said, quote, "We have no update for you.", unquote. (Thanks, Jack!) Dog waste isn't picked up by residents or staff, nor is anyone punished. They say dogs have to be on a leash, but don't enforce it, so you hope your dogs (and the random ones that approach) are friendly. This is such an unadressed problem that members of the apartment complex staff let their dogs run loose and don't clean up their waste, either, it's not just residents. We've lived here for approaching 6 years now. Rent has more than doubled in price, with no updates done to apartments or property. Laundry costs have also raised, as it costs $6 a load, if you don't spend the extra $100 to rent in unit, which in my opinion isn't worth it based on how often the machine breaks and how long it takes to repair. Constant roach problems, but we were able to fix it with our own pest control solutions. The owners live on Pensacola Beach, so you know they make great money. Unfortunate that they don't seem to want to put any back into the quality of life for their residents. This property has great potential if people cared."

"RENTER’S BEWARE: My son, who is woefully trusting & never leased an apartment before; put a $650 “security deposit” down on these apartments. He didn’t understand an application fee and didn’t go through with renting nor signed a lease. This company is attempting to keep the $650 “security deposit”. I’ve asked for copies of the contracts he signed to send to my attorney, but have yet to receive."

"I want to state that my review is based on customer service and maintenance. For 2bd/1bth $1235 is about average for the area. Location is great. However I had many issues with the maintenance. Several occasions I had moisture in the walls, like a water balloon. Happens with a/c in the summer, not a big deal…but I began getting chronically sick due to what I found to be mold growing in the walls and ceiling and asked to be let go from the lease and get my deposit back, which they gladly agreed. Several occasions, there was water pouring out of my bathroom vent soaking everything. (I have pictures and video)when I asked them to look at the A/C closet, they left the vent open…never finished the job. I just today got my deposit back after 4 months of asking. The office manager is absolutely great, everyone else around her didn’t follow through on anything. I had pictures and video of moisture in the walls, mold in plain sight, they told her there was no mold. After 5 months, I finally got my full deposit back"
