"So terrible that they don’t deserve a two stars. The location was nice but that was it. My husband and I moved from Washington state and planned on living here. When we got there and walked into the apartment was dirty!! There were cockroaches everywhere!! Some were dead and others were still alive. I opened up the kitchen cabinets and what did you see..cockroaches!! They told use they just sprayed for them but there is no way. The apartment was not cleaned at all and was told they’d clean it later. We were due to move in that day. There was water damage on the kitchen cabinets and the roof. We were told a new coat of paint would be put on until a new roof can be installed. The outside was littered with broken glass bottles everywhere. We have two dogs and they couldn’t even go to the bathroom without cutting up their paws. I told the lady that was showing us the apartment that it was not going to work for us and we left. Don’t rent here unless you like cockroaches everywhere. The new owner clearly does not care about cleaning and the water damage on the property."

"Be careful. I lived here 2 years before the pandemic. I paid my rent on 4/5/22 and got an involuntary eviction notice on 4/6/22 with no notice telling me everyone had less than 30 days to vacate! I’m a federal Employee so I faithfully paid my rent every month during lockdown as most tenants are either(military, cops, COs, federal employee, etc) They told us the property had been sold & they were kicking all the tenants out to renovate and “rebrand” and told NO ONE notified us before changes went into affect—but conveniently mentioned it AFTER we paid rent for that month.. They Told us we were welcome to come back but: 1. Had to do a credit recheck. 2. Reapply as a New Tenant 3. Would NOT be given preference as a CURRENT tenant(1st come 1st serve) 4. Expected to continue to pay our rent through the end of lease even though it could be “rented out” to a new tenant while we were still occupying it. and 5. Rent would be doubling. I was paying $635 for YEARS and my unit is now going for close to $1500…This property has NO amenities for the rate they’re charging. New Management barely answers the phones let alone respond to maintenance requests. I cut my losses and moved back to the easy coast since clearly living in this area was no longer affordable and didn’t offer anything “extra” to make the ticket price worth while."

"I recommend Bayou Marcus Townhomes for anyone looking for an affordable place in the Pensacola area. The units are so cute and the staff is over the top friendly and accommodating. We are so grateful to have found this lovely place and are loving our new home!"

"Showed up for a tour, no one would answer the phone. Knocked on the leasing office door because it said they were closed during their listed open hours. They let me tour a unit, but they said it could be months until they had appliances and that we could not move in until then, plus rent would go up with the market. The unit's AC was off if it even works, from other reviews that seems to be a big issue here."

"I've been fighting to get my central a.c. fixed since June 2019. Still getting lies and excuses from the office. Don't expect any kind of promptness with repairs unless it's the heat and that's only because they are required by law to do so. Let's get real though, this is Florida and the middle of January, and it's been on average between 75 and 80 degrees inside my apartment for the last 6 months. Don't expect any professionalism from the office manager either. I'm praying for cooler weather and looking for another place to live. I wouldn't recommend Bayou Marcus Townhomes to anyone unless they get new management."
