Sage Dental of West Kendall

"I've been coming to this location close to 3 years. Not no more. I will never go there again. I will pay out of pocket to go to a real dental office. First the front desk girl doesnt even greet you, apparently she doesn't understand without us she has no job. She needs more training in customer service. Second the Dr. doesn't even greet you, now I know where the front desk girl gets her training from......The Dr. starts to speak to you in Spanish not even asking you if you understand Spanish. The whole office is speaking in Spanish which is very inappropriate of them. Third, after being there for 45min the hygienist tells me that i need a deep cleaning. Now thats more money. So i asked her to do a regular cleaning. They say no it cannot be done. So my time and me leaving work early is not important to them. Needless to say it was a waste of time. Don't even bother to call corporate they don't answer your calls or return them. If i could give them zero stars i would. My advice to everyone find a better place. Plus my wife had the same experience in the Pinecrest office."

"I underwent surgery to remove 4 wisdom teeth and a molar with Dr. Flora Sarmiento under deep sedation. The process was very easy and the surgery was a success. Everyone at sage dental has been very professional and I would highly recommend."

He takes time to explain things to you and answer any questions or concerns that you may have. Carlos is very nice as well. He is always available to answer calls. Dr. Oliver assistant Sergio is very polite too. The ladies in the front desk are nice and greet you when you arrive and leave. "There are many great reasons why Sage Dental of West Kendall has become my favorite dental office; but the staff, in my opinion, is what makes this office the best. EVERYONE in this office is professional, friendly and provide a very personal service. The specialists and dentists are the most skilled and compassionate I have ever met. I was extremely anxious prior to my first visit but now I look forward to my appointments. Again, the office staff including billing, hygienists, doctors, assistants, and receptionists provide EXCELLENT patient care. As a plus,the office building is very comfortable,attractive and clean.. what else as a patient can we ask for?"

"I just want to personally thank EVERYONE at the Sage Dental Kendall AND Sage Dental Pinecrest. If I could give this office and Pinecrests office a million stars, I would! I lost a filling and at first was under the impression it was no big deal. I was VERY wrong. It became one of the most excruciating, terrible ordeals I've had in a VERY long time. In a moment of severe pain and desperation I made an appointment to another dental office (not a Sage Dental practice) and was given an appointment I had to wait 8 days for (even though it was an "emergency"). 1.5 hours before the visit they called and cancelled bc they "just realized" they didn't take my insurance. That's weird since 8 days before I verified 3 times that they did. Needless to say, I was distraught. I didn't know what to do. As a last minute effort on a Friday at almost 4pm, I had little hope to find anything but I Googled "emergency tooth dentist" and by some divine miracle, the Sage website appeared. Thanks to the terrible non-experience with the other practice (I'll fight the urge to name them here), the people at Sage came to my rescue. I called and was given an immediate appointment; literally the same day. When I arrived the entire office staff was considerate, warm, friendly and SUPER caring. It was 5:00pm on a Friday and they treated me so wonderfully. I was seen by Dr. Mercedes Cuartero. The doctor and the assistant were so kind and I didn't feel rushed, even though it was late in the day. They evaluated me and identified the issue. Turns out, I had a terrible cavity and a horrible infection and was given treatment and a date to return for an extraction, only this time, I was sent to the Kendall office so that I wouldn't have to wait too long for help. A week later when I returned, I saw Dr. Francisco Oliver. This man is an angel. Funny, warm, patient, friendly and knowledgeable. Despite his efforts though, my infection wasn't gone and he recommended more treatment and a later date for the extraction. I was disappointed because I was SO ready for that tooth to be gone lol, but he was right. He was so wonderful (along with the assistant), so I trusted his "sage" advice. A week later the infection was gone and now I was seen by Dr. Flora Sarmiento. Yet again, another AMAZING doctor and fantastic assistant. (I'm sorry I don't recall the names of these 3 assistants but they are so great too!) Once again I received wonderful treatment from the moment I came in to the moment I left. Dr. Sarmiento's kindness and advice helped me to get through that extraction and bone graft plus sedation. She was so understanding of my near panic meltdown at the realization that this extraction was not so minor after all and I would have to be sedated. I was NOT expecting that but she helped to advise me of the right plan and once again, "sage" advice was right. People also need to know about pricing so I'll say that unfortunately I did have issues with my insurance for this practice and did have to pay out of pocket BUT that does NOT in any way change my experience with this group AT ALL. Sometimes insurance just sucks. It was hard to realize that I had to pay without much help from Insurance but it was a needed procedure AND with people I was 100% confident treated me fairly as it related to pricing. I will be eternally grateful to the WHOLE staff at both offices who equally were invested in helping me. I know this was long but I want to let anyone reading this know that THIS IS AN AMAZING group of people and whether your insurance covers it 100% or not, if you need dental care, GO TO SAGE DENTAL Kendall or Pinecrest. From the front desk to the Dentists, EVERY.. SINGLE... PERSON made me feel supported and cared for. THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH. Going to the dentist is not fun. Truly. But when you receive the kind of care I did, it was worth it. I am officially 1 week from the extraction and I am so happy and pain free. Thank you, thank you, thank you "
