Super 8 by Wyndham Clearwater/St. Petersburg Airport

"I will start off by saying the front desk employees were very nice. I checked into this hotel at 7 months pregnant after a long trip. Immediately I noticed the outside was being renovated so I didn't judge but upon entering the lobby you could tell it was not kept up like the pictures in other reviews because it was dirty and worn down. I was given a room on the second floor and when I got in the room I noticed the comforters had stains on them. I then did my usual check for bed bugs (thankfully I didn't find any) but instead found blood stains and other stains all over the sheets of both beds in the room. The pillows were stained as well and looked like someone sweat through them multiple times. The nightstand lights were rusted and there were scratches on the desk like people were cutting lines of meth on them. The bathroom door had a fist size hole in it and the bathroom itself was just not kept up. The seal around the tub was off and just dingy. I went down to the front desk and asked them for a new room because there was no way I could stay in that room for the night. They accommodated me and gave me another room. After checking the second room I knew I could not stay here. Again the pillows were stained and the bedding was stained and gross. I walked out and asked for a refund which they couldn't give me because I booked 3rd party. (This was not the hotels fault) I'm hoping this is only the case for the second floor and that the first floor rooms are nicer accommodations but my experience was terrible. I then spent until 1am driving to my destination because I couldn't sleep here."

"We stayed two nights, but at the beginning and end of our trip to siesta key due to its close proximity to Tampa airport. The negatives: the place smells, like a lot. The rooms less than the lobby/halls but overall the whole place just smells funky enough we kept the windows open in our rooms even tho it was 75+ outside. The pool was FILTHY, so don’t expect to swim. There were burn holes/stains on the bedding of both of our beds. But The MOST concerning to me, was that we stayed in the same room both nights (4 nights apart) and the bedding was the same on both nights. We could tell because of the comforter burn holes. How, if they pull the bedding everyday, did the SAME one end up on our beds when they have hundreds of rooms? So damn gross to think they didn’t wash the blankets just the sheets. Yuck. The area is also pretty sketchy, lots of cop sirens, homeless people, etc. The upside: the beds were comfy, and the bathroom was surprisingly nice/clean. That’s it."

"The front desk clerk was very friendly and informative. He was very accommodating finding me a ground floor room because I had a knee scooter. The room itself looked clean when we came in. The chair in the room had really bad spots on it didn't sit in it and the bathroom was very clean except the towels were very old and quite stained up almost to a gray color. I was on a tight budget and the room itself was tax was only $75 a night I would stay there again knowing that there were a few little things I would change but overall the experience was fine"

"First glance from the outside we were concerned we made the wrong choice for affordability. However, we quickly realized after being greeted so so kindly and our spotless room that it was a great choice. We are right near everything so location was perfect. I loved that they knew our name upfront and said hello and goodbye each time we came and left it made it very comfortable."

"I am currently staying here before I move to another state. William at the front desk is super professional and made me feel welcome immediately. Rooms are clean and the housekeepers do a great job maintaining it. Area is convenient for food and necessities all in walking distance. Pricing on rooms are fair and the spot also has a pool which is well maintained as well. Would definitely recommend!"
