"Affordable prices, fast, professional service. If you just need some basic tax preparation, this may be a good option for you. But if you're situation may be more complex and want to sit down with an accountant, this may not be a good option. Unfortunately for me, it was not a good user experience. This was my first time using his accounting service, and as I own a small business, I was expecting that we would meet with him and go thru my tax situation together. However, he wouldn’t meet with us, so we had to put everything together and drop it off without being able to go thru this with him in person. I think there were communication issues regarding my specific situation, which lead to a very frustrating outcome from my perspective. Yes, I made a few thousand more this year and had less deductions, and my wife’s company may have not withheld as much as they should have from her pay. So I understand that I had to pay more to the IRS. But I didn’t expect to own the IRS twice as much as I paid them the previous year. My wife and I were able to find some issues in the tax returns, and he did do an amendment for us. This reduced the amount I owed the IRS by a few thousand dollars. But in the end, I was left unsure if things were correct and felt very frustrated by the experience and outcome. Next year, I’ll find an account I can meet with and go thru this together, even if I have to pay more for their service."
