Cabinets to Go

"We renovated our entire kitchen in 2018. We decided to go with the cabinets and countertop from Cabinets To Go because they appeared to be a good value and the salesman was very personable. After several attempts by what I would call underqualified or maybe just apathetic installers we finally had our new kitchen cabinets up. We have enjoyed them without incident until recently when one of the kitchen cabinets suddenly came crashing down off the wall for no apparent reason. Upon inspection of the screws, we noted that this cabinet was not properly secured to either the furring strips or the concrete wall behind. It appears that the cabinet was held in by one screw into the furring strip and four screws into nothing but drywall. We are fortunate that nobody was in the kitchen at the time, and that no one was hurt. However, the cabinet coming down destroyed all of our dishes, cups plates, including family heirlooms and did a good bit of damage to our wooden floor, which was also installed in 2018. We reached out to Cabinets To Go to let them know what happened to get some kind of resolution. They sent their own installer out to evaluate the problem and he stated that the initial installation was done incorrectly with the wrong fasteners. When this issue was brought to the corporate office of Cabinets To Go, we were told that because the warranty on these cabinets and installation was only one year that they would not do anything to do neither the broken cabinet, loss of belongings, or damage to our kitchen floor. They told us to make a claim with our insurance company but we do not have insurance on the contents of our home so basically they saying “F you”, it’s been over a year. Considering that their own installer has confirmed that the cabinet was not properly installed from the beginning we found this to be a surprising response. When I contacted them, I did not make a big deal out of it nor did I ask for extraordinary damages. I only asked that they replace the cabinet, ensure that all of the other cabinets were actually properly secured to the wall, repair our kitchen floor, and replace our dishes as we literally have three right now. Cabinets To Go refuses to take any responsibility for their faulty installation, offer us any repair, or make any kind of compensation to us but they did offer to SELL us a replacement cabinet and have it installed for a FEE by their super qualified installers. Can you imagine? I wish I could give this company Zero stars. Buyer beware! Cabinets To Go does not take care of their customers, nor do they stand behind their products or installations. Do yourself a favor pay a little more and have a reputable company install your kitchen cabinets."

"We were shopping around for a new construction build for our home overseas and decided to give Cabinets to Go a try. And man let me tell you, that was the best move! We walked in with a vague idea of what we wanted, sat down with Tivaughn and he quickly put together a lay out of our Kitchen with all the extra accessories and functions to boot. Once that was done he designed all our bathroom vanities including the sink tops. Cant wait to receive our cabinets on island. We are defiantly going back to get our custom closet inserts done with them. The process is so easy and most importantly affordable."
