Valvoline Instant Oil Change

"I purchased an oil change on Groupon and redeemed it here. 2 and a half hours later, the technician "finally got the drain plug back in" after they stripped it. Now I need a new oil pan. The best (worst) part was they decided "not to charge me" but still marked the Groupon as redeemed. This has to be the worst group of technicians I've ever seen. From the Manager to the newest member of the team....stay away. You'll thank me later."

"One star for changing my engine oil. Minus four stars for compromising the drain plug. I have changed the oil myself a few times before coming here, and I made sure to tighten the drain plug snug and not strip it. I brought my car here because I did not have time to do it myself. After the oil change, the manager told me the drain plug got stripped during tightening and have to place a permanent plug and in the next oil change, oil need to be sucked instead of drained underneath by gravity. In order to restore it, I have to replace the oil pan itself, what a pain. I am mechanically inclined, and the only thing you can strip a thread is to overzealously tighten it. I had brought my three cars here for oil changes previously, but NOT ANYMORE. I can't let them damage any of my vehicles any further."

"Last oil change in Ocoee they left SIX screws out of the metal shield they removed to change oil. Noticed something hanging down under my car and went to my mechanic who discovered six screws missing, there were only 3 screws on the front of the shield holding it on the car. I was there for oil change and tire rotation and they forgot to do the tire rotation. I also waited over 90 minutes to get in because they didn’t have what they needed for the car in front of me and had left to go buy it at Auto Zone. No paper in the printer so no receipt/print out of service. No manager on premises that day. NEVER AGAIN! Have used this location before and had to on more than one occasion turn around and go back before I reached home due to strange noises or car not running right due to something not put back together right."

"Had my oil change here and was helped by manager Gabe and another young man that I didn’t get his name. Both were very kind and PROFESSIONAL. They treat you with respect and get the job done correctly. I even had a Groupon that didn’t apply to my vehicle and Gabe was kind enough to apply it to my service with no questions asked. Highly recommend this service and I will be returning!"

"After the initial mistake of forgetting to put all the screws back in the under pan and as we were driving it popped out and made a god awful noise and almost made us crash going down the highway, the store manager attempted to handle the situation very professionally. The complaint is at the corporate level. All the customer service people I talked to on the phone were very nice but getting in touch with the district manager was almost impossible. After 3 weeks of trying to get in touch with this person we we’re finally able to talk to him, extremely underwhelming. He didn’t seem to really care, said Valvoline would not pay the dealer or a body shop to fix the problem. Said his shop will do the repair, and that would be the first step. He did not offer to reimburse us for the time, scare, the patch kit I made at Lowe’s so that we could make it to a college appointment, nothing. We conceded and let the shop do the repairs but that seems to have been the end of it for them. The store manager, Gab, was very professional and has tried to do the right thing but the corporate manager, well let’s just say worst customer service ever. We have tried to contact him after the repair was done but we are going on 3 weeks and he still has not tried to contact us. Make your own decision but just pray you don’t have to deal with corporate manager Mike"
