"In May 2022, I hired A & D pressure cleaning to clean my S tile roof. I was concerned because my roof was replaced four years ago and I do not want it damaged. In the past whenever I had my roof pressure cleaned it began leaking. The tile manufacturer recommends using only water at 1200 psi or less and no chemicals. Unfortunately there are are no companies that do that work. A&D pressure cleaning used a solution of 40 to 60% chlorine which they left on the roof. They sprayed down the plants so they would not be damaged. I had to go outside because the chlorine odor was burning my lungs. They said the odor should dissipate with 45 minutes. As far as the appearance, the roof looks great! I do not know if the chlorine does any damage to the foam adhesive or underlayment. It appears that the foam adhesive has turned into a dry hard piece that can easily slide out from under the tile edges. But when I looked at the before and after photos it looks like it was already like that before the chlorine treatment. The price was reasonable and it took between one and two hours for a one story 2000 sq. ft. house."
