"My wife and I had a great experience. We bought three large, heavy pieces of furniture and all the employees were so helpful. Especially Josh who helped me get the furniture on a flatbed in the store and Ty who assisted me in getting it in my truck. My wife and I are new members to Costco and also members at Sam’s. We have never received this level of service there."
"A miserable shopping experience. The store is scaled to the size of three football fields but is packed to the brim with stuff, so you just feel rushed and corralled the whole time. Shopping here makes you feel like a hog at a trough rather than a human being worthy of dignity. But I guess if this is what we're doing with our land and our lives we don't have much dignity to begin with. The whole point of these big box stores was to offer meaningful savings over locally owned, but now there is no locally owned alternative, it's all just big box stores, so the savings are gone. So now you have a scenario where you do not have the cool, small, locally owned option and the big box store doesn't save you money. The worst of all possibilities!"
"I have both of the major club memberships. Costco is about quality more than a cheap price, both in food and merchandise. Their major competitor lacks in quality but is considerably cheaper. Oddly enough Costco staff are excellent but the spouse and I think the general customers in the store (fellow shoppers) are among the rudest people in the world. Whereas their competitor staff is lacking but my fellow shoppers are nicer. Go figure. I would like to give Costco 5 stars but their competitor's scan & go app is sensational for running in and out as fast as possible and Costco is behind the future's 8 ball."
