About the Business

Epic Water Boat Tours

Epic Water Boat Tours, located at 3089 U.S. 441 in Fruitland Park, Florida, offers a unique and relaxing way to experience the natural beauty of Florida. Our tours include 1-hour eco tours, 1.5-hour rookery tours, and sunset tours on Lake Griffin. The Pearl, our USCG inspected vessel, can accommodate up to 22 passengers in addition to the crew.

Lake Griffin is the last lake in the Harris Chain of Lakes and the mouth of the Ocklawaha River, making it one of the least developed lakes in the chain. On our tours, you can expect to see a variety of wildlife, including birds, alligators, turtles, and sometimes even manatees. The narrow Dead River provides the perfect opportunity to view wildlife up close, surrounded by cypress, oak, and palm trees.

Our tours are both relaxing and informative, with our guides pointing out interesting wildlife and sharing the history of the area. Whether you choose to explore the Dead River at Lake Griffin State Park, visit the rookery on Lake Griffin, or enjoy a sunset cruise, you're sure to have a memorable experience with Epic Water Boat Tours.

Prices for our tours range from $25 to $35 per person, depending on the length of the tour. If you're interested in booking a tour with us, don't hesitate to reach out. We look forward to showing you the natural beauty of Lake Griffin and the surrounding area.

"The captains are very knowledgeable, and make everyone feel like a friend. I learned a lot on the 1 and a half ride to observe a bird rookery. The captain gave many details about alligators, fish, birds, vegetation, and the chain of lakes. The boat is small enough that we were all individuals, not just a number. I was excited to share what I learned with my husband. I recommend this trip to anyone who loves nature and water. It is in Lake Griffin State Park, which is a very small park with 40 campsites and fabulous hiking trails."

"A friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining couple runs this tour. The boat is kept in great condition & feels nearly new. The care of the customer can be seen in them having throw blankets available as well as a decent set of binoculars on each seat. Lots of large alligators in this stretch as well water birds and, when the season is right, some manatee. Park entrance fee is included with your price. While there are some handicapped accommodations it would be very difficult to get a large wheelchair bound adult to and in the boat but if they can walk a few steps it can be done ( only 2 points of difficulty). Call ahead if special accommodations are needed. Lots of parking at no additional cost."

"Great almost-private tour (just2 couples and the crew) on New Years Day 1/1/2024!! Patrick and Jen know their stuff, great mix of info and entertainment. Great weather, saw tons of birds, lots of alligators and turtles. Great experience, totally recommend and will probably do it again next trip to the area - I’m sure there are different things to see each and every time! Happy New Year!"

"Always an amazing tour and always learn something new!! Captain Patrick and Jenn takes their time and lets us see as much wild life as possible! If I could give more stars I would! Definitely a must do with out of state family and friends! Shows the real Florida! And every time you go there is something new to see or learn!"

"Surprised how much I enjoyed this tour. The boat captain was very informative and friendly. Enjoyed seeing the gators and the wild life and learning about the area. He answered questions . They even provided binoculars. Nice time spent . Adults and kids would enjoy!"
