"Small campground, a bit narrow for bigger rigs. Some sites are big and some small, and we barely had enough room for our cars and tents, but it was close to the bathroom. Nice facilities and restrooms, need code to get in. The area is not too big, a couple of shorter trails and a longer interesting one with a three plank boardwalk without rails. No place to bike. They have boat rides on the weekends, so we missed that during the week. It's a pretty area around the dock, and an extremely old tree to see by the front. Not a bad place."

"Very small park, but the nature trails give you the impression of being in the middle of a jungle. Old Florida at its finest. Epic Boat rides is fabulous. I learned a lot from the very knowledgeable captain. The Park has the second largest live oak tree in Florida. All the trees are magnificent. Great playground too, including a swing for wheelchairs."

"This is an am Amazing park! Well kept grounds and restrooms! We paddled the Dead River and saw some great wildlife! The huge Live Oak Tree was cool to see and just imagining the History that has passed by! Staff and volunteers were pleasant! Will definitely be back!"

"Griffin Lake State Park is a beautiful park located in Leesburg, Florida. It costs $5.00 to get in. Our intention was to fish, but the water levels were low, and there was a park ranger draining water from the lake. The motor was so loud that it ruined the tranquility and peace that we were seeking. So, we left. Overall, it's a beautiful park but not for fishing. They offer boat rides and canoe rentals. There are picnic areas under a canopy of trees. There is a nice playground for the kids, too."
