"Addendum to Review: This morning, Dan, Sr., came by to talk about our review. Without going into details, it showed that the reviews are taken very seriously. The visit was much appreciated and we are happy to have had the opportunity to chat with Dan Sr. Thanks for coming by Dan, and yes, we will continue to support your business. On the last few visits to this Weston store, My husband has not felt welcome nor respected. It has been very obvious. He has walked in and Dan, the son, has not greeted nor even had the courtesy of saying Good Afternoon nor even Hi. But a white person walks in and he is greeted very cheerfully. When he used the cart to take out the purchased supplies, other customers are greeted outside and the cart is taken from them. Today, he didn't get that service. He was obviously expected to push the cart back inside the store himself. They have obviously forgotten that our family has supported their business from they started at the old store around the corner of the plaza, maybe 20 years or so ago. We refrained from making a comment in the past, thinking that this was just a "one off" occurrence. But it is very obvious that we are not welcome at that store anymore. It now seems to be spilling over to the staff. That's OK, we will travel a little further where maybe our business is welcomed and respected, no matter who we are."

"Using this family run franchise for our basic pool chemical needs was easy. I didn’t know what I thought was going to be the hard part, refinishing our aging surface and equipment, was going to be this stress free. Danny, Dan, Evan, Hilary, and Mike….And so many wonderful people I can’t name, forgive me… made the process straight forward and simple. Every part of the job was on schedule, the workmanship was impeccable. This franchise is so busy we appreciated that they were there to take our calls and stayed on top of any concerns, which, frankly, were minuscule. A personal friend of mine who is a major pool builder said the experience I had with this franchise is exemplary… and evidence of a dedicated staff. I’m grateful."

"If I could give negative 5 stars I would. The pictures speak for themselves. One day after an employee "cleaned" the pool. The water is cloudy and has a green tint. The filters are disgusting. No stabilizer tablets. Little to no chemicals added. They should change their name to money wasters instead of pinch a penny. Wasting your hard earned money and leaving you with a nasty looking pool. This business needs to shut down or refund money to its customers. I know 3 people who use pinch a penny and ALL of their pools look dirty. The biggest complaint among everyone that uses pinch a penny is that they don't come every week and they never clean the pools properly."

"Once in a great while, you’re lucky enough to “Visit” a store that upon entering you immediately realize is a much different than the rest. Something that definitely separates them from the huge list of pool stores we have here in Florida. “Pinch-A-Penny” in Weston, Florida is run SO EFFICIENTLY when you enter thru the sliding doors you are greeted by friendly and extremely well-trained staff members usually, even before you can even take 2 steps in the store. MY STORY… Began when I moved to Davie over 17 years ago and had NO IDEA how to own/run my own pool, so, I was about to call the local pool maintenance service and commit to @ $50-$75 a month. But before I did that, I walked into my local Weston “Pinch-A-Penny”. Within the first few minutes they explained to me that it’s SO easy, I could do it myself!!! Then, they took me thru every step needed to keep my pool always looking “Blue” and “ Brilliant”. No idea how they did it… but I really did walk out feeling like I “actually” knew what I was doing …. Even upon exiting, they insisted I call them to give them a status report, THIS STORE IS AMAZING !!!"
