About the Business
Tampa Bay Aquatic Masters, also known as TBAM, is a vibrant and dedicated masters swim team located at 2101 East Doctor Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard in Tampa, Florida. Established in January 2009 by former Forest Hills Aquatics swimmers, TBAM is sanctioned by United States Masters Swimming and is part of the Florida LMSC and Dixie Zone organizations.
The team is made up of a diverse group of members with varying skill levels, including fitness and competitive swimmers, triathletes, and cross-trainers. Many members swim to maintain physical and mental well-being, while others train for various local and regional events such as the St. Anthony's Triathlon and Madeira Beach Triathlon.
Head Coach Juan Cue, who obtained his USMS Coaching Certification in 2022, has been with TBAM since its inception. With experience in open water events and national/international swim meets, Coach Juan is dedicated to working with athletes of all abilities.
Located at Cyrus Green Park near downtown Tampa, TBAM offers convenient weekday evening and Saturday morning workouts in a 25-yard outdoor heated pool owned by the City of Tampa. The facility includes men's and women's locker rooms, outdoor heated showers, and parking. Please note that practice schedules may be adjusted to accommodate city programs and events, and weather conditions.
