"Hi, I visited this salon for the very first time Tuesday Nov 21 with an appointment for a signature blowout. I will preface this by saying I have 3C curls with medium strands and a thick density. When I walked in for my appointment I was greeted by a very friendly stylist who remained cheery and friendly during our consultation although she did look nervous to take on my hair. Throughout the appointment everyone was very kind and friendly, eventually it became two stylists blow drying and styling my hair. When the second stylist began straightening my hair she let me know that I needed a trim, I agreed saying if they had the time because they were already past closing time (7p). Here’s where I became disappointed she took over and finished straightening my hair and then began to cut my hair, and cut 3 inches. As a stylist myself I felt an inch or so was what was needed, as someone on a hair growth journey it sucked to see so much gone but I sucked it up because at least I was sure my split ends were gone. The very next morning I wound up restraightening my hair, which was very disappointing after not even leaving the salon 12 hours prior. Especially since the stylists passed the flat irons over my whole head of hair multiple times. Now I’m reviewing today, that I’ve washed my hair and have to deal with the aftermath of inexperience. My curls are heat damaged, certain spots are half straight, and my curls are loose. I believe this salon staff can benefit from training more on curly hair textures or simply let clients know if you feel their hair is too challenging to promise the result they want."
