"We had Pinch A Penny come to the house that we had recently purchased to inspect the pool that was there and anything that was broken or worn would have been replaced before we purchased the house. They did not notice that the pump was going bad and they did not note that the surface of the pool was very worn and should be resurfaced soon. These two items have cost us approximately $25,000 in total which we could have gotten from the previous owner had they been noted at the time of inspection. Pinch A Penny did catch that the pool heater did not work but since it was completely non-functional we had already caught that ourselves."

"This location is a good pool store. They stock everything from small parts to pumps, filters, and heaters. When I walked in, I noticed how neat and clean the owner maintained the store. The staff is always courteous and helpful. The water testing service is what I expect from a Pinch-A-Penny. They use "range chemistry," which protects your pool but also tends to maximize chemical sales. I have never used their pool service, but I hear mostly good things. Negative reviews from pool owners are typical in the industry. Some people should not own a swimming pool. Still, many of them do and prefer to complain instead of taking responsibility for their property."

"I must admit, I follow ratings and I almost made the decision to drive further to another store. Luckily, I called first and while the person on the other end was not great they were far from bad and provided all answers needed while being curt and lacking politeness. Once I arrived at the store the experience improved greatly. The associate greeted me professionally and helped quickly. They even assisted in loading the chlorine I purchased without being asked. I know they offer many services but the in store pool maintenance side was exceptional. I would definitely return to this location but hold my breath to be wowed if calling in. Overall, a 5 simply due to the in person experience."

"Have only been in a couple of times but great service! They have proactively called about a sale on heat pumps for the pool (I need one & they knew that). Ordered a solar cover over the phone on Friday and they called to tell me that it was in on Monday!"

"SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURES. I debated writing this however I would hate to be the next person to get taken like I did. So, this review is for you, whomever you may be. They sent a tech to our home to clean a moderately Green pool we had just purchased and charged over $500 for clearing the pool and algae. They Never cleared the algae. They claimed it was staining on the pool.....scraped with a brush and it COMES OFF IN GREEN CLOUDS..... Then, they charged $140 a month to service the pool and did not show up to clean the pool (we are absentee owners).I even have an email from them stating they made a "MISTAKE" about their tech showing up. I arrived to check some work on the house and found the pool a mess and it was green still, not back washed with debris all over the bottom. They claimed leaves were construction material from our home....or, at least that is what their tech told them. I sent the attached pics to the owner and requested my money back. The owner chose to debate the condition of the pool (SEE PICS) and then said they had "delivered" what had been promised. These were taken two days ago, after $500 plus $140 for servicing (which clearly did not occur) Nice people in person.... don't fall for it. Their service onsite is DEPLORABLE. Even the timer I had them replace initially, is FALLING OFF the mount they screwed it to. I am glad others had a decent experience. Mine was one of The worst I have have ever had with a supplier - So bad in fact, I actually took my time to write this."
