"I was recommended this place by a good friend. Him and I used to go to the ““ other place “but my friend had a bad experience there as a result of them being less than honest. So I visited this place for the first time because I was having what I thought was a bad water pump. They were very friendly and very nice. The tech came to visit and realized it was an O-ring instead of spending thousands of dollars for a new pump they charged me $75 for the visit including the O-ring. "Boom! Was the sound heard last weekend. My pool filter housing had exploded. I called Joanne at Pinch a Penny the following morning and she immediately jumped in to assist me. Ironically, she had a cancellation that morning, had the replacement unit in stock and could install the replacement unit that afternoon. Before committing to Joanne, I found it necessary to call around to compare pricing. Not only was Joanne able to install the unit the same day, her pricing was 40% less for the same unit at other Pinch A Penny locations! But wait, there’s more! During the installation process the installer discovered my (2) year old Aquacal pool heater had failed, causing the filter housing to explode. Joanne placed a call to her Aquacal sales representative and explained the situation. As result of Joann efforts, Aquacal is replacing the pool heater and is refunding me for the cost of the new filter system. This was all made possible because of Joanne and her team!
