"My husband and I are relocating to DeLand from south Florida. We decided to stop in to learn more about DeLand. Although the museum was not open due to renovations being done, the volunteers in the office/bookstore took time with us to tell us about DeLand's rich history. They took their time engaging with us. They never made us feel like we were intruding on their time. We felt very welcomed to the town. We have fallen in love with DeLand and the people of that city. We are looking forward to making DeLand our home town."
